I'm surprised they actually gave you work over the break. |
 When I was in high school, we didn't get any work during the break because some of our classes finished up with exams. If anything, work we'd have to do would equal studying for exams coming in January but that's it.

Keep trying different emulators because I'm sure one of them nails it or at least keeps the glitches to what would be on the NES cart.
Failing that, there's always the GBC port.

If a disconnect gave you the win and them the loss, then you could arrange matches with friends and have them disconnect to boost your record. So if the user was a friend, then Nintendo could refuse to give the win on a disconnect. If the user's a stranger and bails out, then they can give the win.

Working through Mission Mode now... some of these require precise precision to get anything above a B or an A, I fear. Strange how the overall rank is calculated by the LOWEST mark obtained in a course... So even if you have all the missions starred except for one that has a B grade, your overall rank for that stage is B.
