Given how he had a stroke last year, perfectly understandable. But if he was in perfect health, you could easily make the argument that he was plowed. He did look happy to be there though, so I don't think we've seen the end of Dick yet... besides, once he retires then Ryan Seacrest takes over as permanent host.  |

It was known last December.  But from the most recent New Year's story...
Dick Clark returned to host ABC-TV's "New Year's Rockin' Eve" for a worldwide broadcast audience estimated at 1 billion people. Now 76, he has missed the celebration only once in 32 years — last year, when he was recovering from a stroke. "It's real good to be back with you again this year," Clark said slowly, slurring his speech. "You and I have been a part of each other's lives for so many New Year's Eves that I wouldn't have missed this for the world." |

Oh, aside from the slurred speech Dick *did* look pretty good considering, and as I said looked happy to be there. Even kissed his wife at midnight as usual.  I expect him to stay on next year, hopefully a lot closer to 100%.
So I think we're all in 2006 now unless anyone from Hawaii's hanging around. |

There's a lot of WB cartoons on some channels here and they're just as good today as I remembered them being when I was young. |
Especially a lot of culture references.
I've seen a few shows where the main target audience was kids but they'd toss in the odd silly or even crude joke that the kids would never get in a million years, but the parents certainly would. Great to see some imagination there.

Well, if a motion picture tosses in a ton of jokes that only hardcore fans of the series/director/etc. would get, then the movie deserves to fail. XD
