Wasn't the N-Gage laughed off even BEFORE release? I don't think any analysts said it would take any market share from the GBA. |

| Nokia thought that cell phone users wanted to have a handheld game system to boot, I suppose. They didn't have many good games for it and the system wasn't exactly designed too well.
The phone was also outrageously priced. |

| Exactly. Too bulky. People want their phones to be small and it's really hard to do that if your phone has to double as a portable game system.
The DS Lite is small but could they add phone functionality to that while keeping the size? Hell no. |
