In Saria's Garden, where the heck is the second key? I've gotten the fire rod and have been searching everywhere for it, but I can't find the second key, or a way to get to the lower level. There aren't any other doors that I haven't been through, and there doesn't seem to be any way to drop down to the lower level. I spent about an hour going through the dungeon looking for secret cracks in the walls or some sort of clue where the key is, but no such luck.

I've gotten 7 tablets and all dungeon items, 6 crystals (can't find the boss of Nabooru's Hole), gotten the mirror, and I'm trying to get up the parallel tower in the light world, but I have a few questions.

1. Where is the last key for the parallel tower? I got the one from the ice beach cave, one from the pyramid area, and i guess 3 from the tower itself. Where am i supposed to find the last one? At least a hint would be appreciated.

2. The "hard optional puzzle" doesnt even make any sense. Am i supposed to exploit some kind of glitch?

3. Where can I find the flute? I've looked up and down in both worlds and there's no sign of it.

4. In the waterfall cave north of Lake Saria, what am i supposed to do? I've tried lighting the torrches but for some reason they won't light with the lamp or the fire rod.

to adezero: you do need the fire rod, since you have to beat Kholdstare to get through Ruto's. I'm not sure how to do spoilers, but the fire rod is a lot easier to get if you get the cape first, which is in a different dungeon entirely.

Has anyone else noticed that when you fight the bss of Saria's Garden, if you exit through the south door, the game crashes? (I'm sure many people have noticed this)

Nabooru's hole. I have no idea what sequence of holes to fall into.

Wow, I didn't know there was another Big Chest in the Parallel Tower. Now I can get the master sword, but it still doesn't help with all those keys scattered around the world.

Can someone please tell me how to get the last key in the parallel tower?

I'm almost positive I have all 6 keys outside of it, I only need one more key.
On floor 5 or 6 (I don't remember), there is a chest up a ledge surrounded by blue switch things that are down ad there is a warp point there, but I am lower down and don't know where the warp point is and so I can't get to it. If this is the last key, how do i get it? If not, then where is that last key?

In the parallel tower, I have the key from falling down 2 stories and the key after beating the armos knights.

Adezero: If you put down a bomb and stand by it, it will blow up with enough force to knock you across a pit. you have to do his several times. It's pretty important for another area in the game.

As it turns out, I did get all three parallel tower keys, and backtacked just to make sure. I also went back to all 6 areas in both worlds with keys and I have opened all of the chests already.
Were there any besides the lake ruins one that aren't in chests (so maybe I thought i got it but I have to do something else)?
There is still a key door in parallel tower that I can't get past, even though I have checked and doublechecked all the key locations. What is going on?

Edit: Damn church key. Now I feel like an idiot.

and one more thing, in the light world if you swim past the pyramid, you can go into a cave that has 3 pullable levers, apparently to release some water. each time i pull one I get a "wrong" sound, and I have tried all 6 permutations. I am completely baffled by this. maybe I already got a key from this room before, but I forgot. I do know that I never did anything correct with the levers

another thing, I can't figure out the trick with the R button. I know the one with the L button, but I can't get anything to work with R

Not sure what that secret of the quake medallion is, but you should definitely get it, since you can get back the item you trade for it.

As far as i know, there's nothing going on with the levers, but the key is important for later.

I'm pretty sure the L button trick is what is meant by the R button trick. I didn't realize you use the L buton until the end of the game and was wondering what the X button was supposed to do. I made it as far as I did since the trick has the same effect as pressing 2 on the keyboard.

to adezero:

Spoiler:
I have no idea how to get to that chest, but it's not the Kokiri Emerald. That's in the big chest on the red path, towards the very top of the tower (a pain, I know). A few rooms before the mirror, there is a room with a beamos in the bottom left corner, and flying tiles, and a door that is closed. The tile to open it is in that room, under the beamos. It's pretty obvious once you see it. I don't know what's in the small chest, though. A tablet, maybe?

There is no second mushroom as far as I know. If you trade in your magic powder for the quake medallion (either fairy fountain will work), you can just get another one inside the potion shop.

oh, and a bug that happens everytime i go from 5th to 6th floor of the parallel tower. the first time I take those stairs, I am always made to go back down them again. the 2nd time always works though

yeah, i noticed that to, though I think it's only the dark world parallel tower for some reason.

Electrometer:

Spoiler:
the second bottle is in the sacred forest meadow through the lost woods, though I think you have to go to it twice before the guy shows up there. There's also a bottle north of the dwarf's house in lake saria, but you need the hookshot.

The Cane of Byrna, luckily for you, is also in the Sacred Forest Meadow. You'll need a bunch of bombs and enough life to survive getting there, though. There's also something else really important in the same room that you'll need for later

I believe the "real solution" to the Nayru's Bay bridge involves the use of save states . The pyramid cave, as far as I can tell, is only there so you can get a key for later. The plungers serve no purpose, unless maybe in
Spoiler:
the second quest

Also, for anyone who has beaten the game
Spoiler:
have you found any tablets outside of the 7 ice world dungeons? According to the end screen, there are tablets in the guardhouse sewers, draegor's castle, the first three dungeons, and 2 in the parallel tower. I really don't feel like looking through all of them unless they are confirmed to be there. I've already looked through the guardhouse sewers and found nothing, so if they exist they're really well hidden. Has anyone figured out what the tablets do yet? If Orochimaru or Euclid could answer that would be awesome.
Has anyone found the bombos medallion or shovel yet?

For FPI: Excellent job on the hack, the graphics rips were really cool and added a ton of variety to the game. Two questions, just out of curiousity:

Why is
Spoiler:
Pirahna Paradise
one of the last level in the game. It was pretty good but didn't seem all that challenging or unique compared to a lot of other levels.
Are there any levels besides one to have a koopa kid fight? (I'm pretty sure not, but I'd rather be certain.)
Also, thank you so much for toning down the difficulty from the frst game, even if just a little. Yoshi's Final Flight was really brutal, even with savestates. And the final castle was absolutely ridiculous. Congratulations and thanks again for making such a fun game.

Not really, all of the more useful moves are more powerful coming from Doc (backair, downsmash, pills).

Also, for scatterheart: As much as I love Kirby, he really does suck in Melee. That throwing trick doesn't really work, since the opponent can break out of it midthrow by wiggling the joystick back and forth. It's just not worth the risk, since they might die, but you will definitely die. An equally cheap but only slightly more effective trick is to stand by the edge and suck them in with your B attack. Then walk off the ledge and spit them out when you're too far down for them to recover, but you are able to. It still doesn't work because they can break out of it, but at least you're not guaranteed to lose a life from it. Of course if you're playing a good character you're pretty much screwed with Kirby anyway.

No, definitely not, if you're referring to the "very hard optional puzzle." It's actually pretty easy compared to a lot of the other puzzles in the game. All you have to do is
Spoiler:
hit a certain spot in the wall with the hammer (the part that you can hookshot to) and go through to the next room. The puzzle in that room can be beaten with the hammer, hookshot, and boots. All you get for it is a full heart container, though.
The only hard part about it is that the floor disappears, so you kind of have to restart the tower once you solve it

Icheatatgolf: How do you know there aren't tablets in all the places it mentions on the end screen?
Also when I said I looked really hard in he guardhouse sewers I meant in the second quest. I still didn't find anything. i would still prefer some official confirmation from Euclid or something before I continue the second quest, since I can't get back into the sewers later.

Has anyone tried throwing the quake medallion into a pond? It seems to have slipped my mind.

Mewtwo's Usmash is actually pretty good. It won't usually kill faster falling characters, but it's pretty fast and has really, really high priority. It doesn't change the fact that Mewtwo is the worst character in the game.

Most feasible strategies with Mewtwo involve shield grabbing, a lot. His throws are basically the only thing he has going for him. The only exceptions are fox and falco, who can down-b faster than mewtwo can shield grab them. But you really have no business putting mewtwo against either of them anyway. I hope alastor wouldn't use mewtwo against anyone on his skill level, unless it's just a friendly match.

I'm sure they do, they apparently just like Link to the Past better.
This also happens to be the first (and only, i think) full hack of the game.

I think joystiq also had an article about Mario Adventure (Darkdhaiz's SMB3 hack) when it came out. That was how I first learned about game hacks and started playing them.

I beat the second quest, it was truly a lot shorter. For those who are wondering if it's worth playing the game again, here is what is different.
HUGE SPOILERS. DON'T READ THIS UNLESS YOU REALLY WANT TO HAVE THE GAME SPOILED, SERIOUSLY
LAST CHANCE TO NOT DO IT
Spoiler:

-Everything up until Farore's Sky Maze is exactly the same. However, instead of that dungeon, you go into a room where you get the fire and ice rods. You do NOT get the hookshot.
-It is highly recommended that you get the Cane of Byrna, as well as 1/4 magic.
-After getting these rods you can get your sword forged by the dwarves and go up Draegor's Castle to get to the ice world. Without the hookshot, you cannot beat ANY of the temples except for Darunia's Caverns, where you can get the Cane of Somaria.
-With the Cane of Somaria and the Fire Rod, you are now able to ascend the Parallel Tower and get the mirror.
-You still have to climb the tower 3 times - Once for the big chest key/mirror, once for the Kokiri Emerald, and once in the light world for the ocarina and path to Ganon.
-Ganon takes 70 silver arrows to kill. I wish i were kidding, but that's how many it takes. After beating him, intead of ending up with the triforce, you continue through the Final Dungeon, where you finally fight Trinexx! After beating him, you see the ending.

I should mention I STILL don't know where the bombos medallion is, or what the tablets do.

To killer7:
Spoiler:

The weird looking north wall in the room east of the sign that says "optional puzzle" does in fact have a section that you can hammer down, and you will know when you hit the right spot. It's simply trial and error until you hit the right spot. You will take some damage from the spikes.

Rockman: I would be willing to make a video if you send me the tools, as long as it's possible to get around the fact that I use a ton of save states.

To hell with the bombos medallion. Even if it is possible to get the mushroom when I have magic powder and the quake medallion in my inventory, I'm tired of climbing the Parallel Tower. I certainly don't wan't to do it without magic powder to use against the fire faeries.
