This has probably been answered a dozen times, but how do you make or obtain a blank ExGFX file? I have already made my own tiles for the 16x16 editor, but something is wrong when I insert them, i.e. only half the tiles show up. What the heck is going on?

How sweet would it be to play your hack on the actual console and show it off to your friends?

Okay, so I opened up a game with ZSNES, took a snapshot of the BG, converted the colors to 16 with Ifranview, and made the file a .PCX version 2. However, when i use pcx2sopt to optimize the tiles, it barely reduces the tiles. It doesn't even get rid of duplicate tiles. What is going on?

Okay, I was making my own custom graphics, inserted them into the game, and saved it. Having realized I wanted to edit some of these graphics, I re-opened my ExGFX file with YY-CHR and edited and re-saved the file. However, when I went back to LM, the graphics were still the same. I even deleted the ExGFX file, made a new one with the same ExGFX name, but LM still displays the original graphics I put in. And I don't feel like making an extra ExGFX file because I need all the room I can get. What the heck is going on?

Whoa. Pretty sweet hack. However, I didn't have any problems with ZSNES while I beat Iggy's Temple. I like the BG rips from Indiana Jones, fits the mood of some of the levels. Good work!

Okay, this has probably been answered a couple thousand times, but how do you make tiles that are semi-transparent so that you can see the background through them? The 2nd world in my mario game is a city and the buildings need friggin' windows. Also, if someone could tell me how to get ExGFX animation files into the game, that could help my custom blocks and whatnot. And YES, I know how to use ExGFX when making sprites, backgrounds, foregrounds, etc. Just not Extended animation files. Thanks.

Ah, thanks man. Now, where can I find an FAQ on this extended animation stuff? I know how to edit frames and everything, I just don't know where to insert my extra animation files. That could help A LOT.

Alright, I was just wondering if there is a rom decompression utility for roms so I can use YY-CHR to finally look at other game's graphics. This copying of other game's graphics pixel by pixel is a little too time consuming. I spent 5 hours yesterday making all the ExGFX for one level and I accidently forgot to save!! If there is a decompression utility it would be nice!

Alright, my hack is featuring levels that each have their own graphics. However, I'm running out of ExGFX files to insert into it. Can ExGFX files past FF be inserted into the game or what? i.e. Super ExGFX. I just don't want to mess up the hack I'm working on. Thanks.

Oh sweet! So I can use the xxx files. I was getting worried because I was getting close to approaching ExGFXFF.bin haha. But what about the Map 16 pages? Is there a way to extend that?

You know, you can use plain old paint to rip GFX from other games or do whatever else your doing with you GFX.

Nah, how do you insert your own title screen graphics so I can make my own? I checked all the regular GFX files but I can't find the original graphics for it.

AH! That's what's wrong! I was wondering why I couldn't find the graphics for the title screen. Why the heck would those graphics be in Gameboy mode anyway? You guys just wait, finish the title screen, 30 more levels, the hack will be done. MWA HA HA HA HAAA!

Okay, how do you use layer 2 on the title screen to create it? This 8-bit title screen thing is killing me.

So I made a key hidden in the water and the only problem is that it doesn't appear in the game. You can pick it up if you go over to where it is, but you intially cannot see it. I disabled the priority on the water too. I made the water myself and it is not transparent.
