It's not so much that people want or don't money, but I also have a feeling that Vyper here is seriously underestimating how much these services actually go for.

Suffice to say that I'm confident any professional web designer would laugh in your face if you offered them "maybe three digits if it's really good!" for the design AND coding of a website.

I love em as well, though I usually only eat one at a time.

And yeah, you're not going to die, although 10-15 at a stretch isn't exactly the healthiest thing to do.

You know it'll get rejected by /. without some type of anti-Microsoft, pro-open source spin on it, right? /. being what they are and all.

You know, I hope you play on pads that are even worse than the ones I play on, because otherwise there is no conceivable explanation for your scores as we see them now.

Charlene is an easy 11, yes, but there's no way in hell it's easier than The Game in terms of either passing or scoring.

Here's an exercise for some of you geeky/mathy types.

One of the claims trumpeted by Wal-Mart is "The average salary of our employees is $10.11 an hour!"

Now, if you know me well, you know me to be a skeptical, some would say cynical person. Additionally, my girlfriend worked at Wal-Mart--twice--so I would have more reason than most to think that Wal-Mart are merely talking out of their asses.

Instead, I completely believe this figure.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Figure out why I'm completely willing to trust Wal-Mart when they make this claim. And no, I am not a Wal-Mart employee myself.

Okay, and why is this important?

I would hope so. Yet it would seem lots of people don't--or at least, that's what Wal-Mart thinks--otherwise they wouldn't go trumpeting that figure the way they do.

More to the point, averages in and of themselves are actually pretty terrible barometers of anything. In short, without other stuff to support it (Mainly the standard deviation), while I'll believe the average figure of X (In this case, Wal-Mart employee wages), you're going to have to work harder than that to get me to make the leap that you want me to make by providing me with the average and nothing else.

These days, not a whole heck of a lot really.

In theory, they're supposed to fight for proper treatment of their employees--fair wages, benefits, etc. You know, stuff that Wal-Mart doesn't particularly like.

In practice, my dad works at a union job, and all they realy do is take a small portion of his paycheck and occasionally tell him their contract is almost up and they may have to strike. In short, Wal-Mart has even less to fear from unions than they think they do.

You know, as I mentioned in other places, I love ITG and all, but Roxor just keeps making small mistake after small mistake. None of the mistakes by themselves are catastrophic, but they add up to make Roxor as a whole look really unprofessional. Part of the problem, I think, is from one of their descriptions (I can't remember if it was Kyle or Chris Foy, it may have been both) of themselves as "just a bunch of guys who love dancing games". They do indeed make a great dancing game, but at this point I'm convinced that they do so in spite of, not because of, how Roxor is run.
