Yokozuna, if you somehow happen to track down a COMPLETE ITG2 songpack, please let us know. Hiryuu and I both have packs that are incomplete--mine is mostly just Hard and/or Expert steps, and Disconnected Disco is missing entirely. |

Videogame soundtracks in my eyes basically fall into one of two categories:
|
1. Ys Book I & II on the Turbo Grafx CD 2. Everything else. Yeah, there are other great soundtracks, a lot of which have been mentioned in the topic already, but Ys I & II tops them all.

Stumbling your way through re-learning database programs is fun! Still, I have it doing something acceptably close to what I want it to. |

I, likewise, tried the "beat the games in order in lieu of doing actual work", in one of my high school classes. Didn't get far, relatively speaking. I think I got through like 50 games or so.

So, does anyone know if any spambots have actually gotten through this since it was implemented? I think there was only one spammer, if that. |

Changed the title to something in the English language.

EDIT: And it's not just you; Riku's layout repeats itself for me too. (edited by Emptyeye on 09-04-06 12:00 PM)

You are aware that there's a constant minimum speed for maintaining rolls, right? It's actually relatively slow, too....think Afronova quarter notes for a single roll (Which means stepping Afronova 8th notes for each foot. LRLRLR would be 6 Afronova 8ths).
|
Note that most rolls are short enough that it's usually easier to just do what comes naturally for the song, which is typically alternating 16ths at the pace of the song, but they don't HAVE to be done that fast by any means.

So I'm watching Jim Cramer's Mad Money today. The theme is "Building a Bionic Man"
|
Jim: "Now if I were building a bionic woman...*hems and haws for a bit*...she'd want boobs. In fact, if I were building a bionic woman, I might err on the side of...REALLY BIG BOOBS!! *Presses "Hallelujah" button*" And this is why a goddamn financial advice show is the best thing on TV today.

Honestly, I'm not sure Nintendo even see themselves as competing directly with Sony and Microsoft anymore. They seem to be off doing their own thing strategy-wise. Not that this is a bad thing. |

So I'm trying to find information about a given job I applied for and may get, but apparently this is the only place the job is titled as such. Specifically, I'm trying to find a salary range for this given job, and it's proving frustrating. Still, if it's anything like similar positions, then if I end up getting this, it will be time to RING THE REGISTER!!

(Jim Cramer still rules)

Wow, nice job on that. I'm heading to the arcade Saturday, I'll see if I can beat that then, though I doubt it (Yay terrible terrible pads). |

My understanding is that MyMyBox's customer service is absolutely terrible. Just as a word of caution. |

Couldn't beat Hiryuu's score on Summer.
|
Of course, given the shape the pads were in, I don't think Damien(1) could've beaten that score on the machine I was playing on. (1)- Current world champion of ITG. Also, he's frighteningly good and could probably have beaten said score while blindfolded or whatnot, but the point is the pads were absolutely terrible.

So remember when everyone was all upset during the SuperNova beta because its timing window was purportedly as big as the console versions? There's an interesting theory now that states that that wasn't the case at all.
|
Not long ago, Roxor (I'll relate this to DDR, don't worry) released the R16 upgrade for ITG2, which claimed to fix the syncing in a lot of the songs. Several top players promptly proceeded to post scores far beyond anything that had been done before; lots of other players quickly were posting new personal bests on various songs, seemingly without efffort. These score leaps were more than simple player improvement, and indeed, some players thought it was more than could even be obtained by simple sync fixing. Damien, whom I mentioned in my previous post, IMed Kyle Ward and discovered something else had changed in R16: The IO polling rate had been improved. If you don't understand what that means, in short, R16 more accurately senses steps than any previous revision. A side effect of this: The timing window, though unchanged from previous revisions, now seems bigger, hence all these godly and relatively godly scores popping up on R16s. So, given that DDR Extreme is roughly 4 years old both hardware and software-wise (Say three-and-a-half years as of SuperNova's Beta), isn't it at all possible, if not likely, that Konami simply improved THEIR IO polling rate, either through hardware or software, then when people complained of "huge timing windows" (Which were in fact unchanged from Extreme), went back to the drawing board to play with them, utterly confused at this perception? Oh, and Hiryuu: Yeah, ITG2 rounds incorrectly...it simply drops hidden digits, rather than correctly rounding them up or down.
