| As others mentioned, while the idea of a big video gaming media festival was cool and all, was it really necessary? The main purpose was to hype up games, which thanks to the Internet and various video game news sources, you can do year-round. Could do it for years actually...witness Metal Gear Disappointment 2: Sons of Daikatana, which had been hyped up on a pretty continual basis since essentially the first Metal Gear Solid's release (And let's face it, with the hype it got, anything less than perfection in all respects was simply unacceptable).
So essentially, I completely understand. E3 was fast becoming a waste of resources that could have been used, you know, developing games. |

| I just find it funny that "snaking" is the accepted term for a technique that doesn't really look much like a snake at all; it's just powersliding at every available opportunity.

Yes, I'm really 23. I "celebrated" by working.  Although we had some ice cream cake yesterday, and my parents are going to get me Kingdom Hearts II tomorrow (They asked me yesterday if I wanted anything, and I didn't really get back to them until today, heh...).

Hiryuu: You beat me on some stuff--I actually failed Summer Hard when I tried it--and I beat you on other stuff--I DESTROYED your Typical Tropical Hard score on my one attempt at it. You can see my recently fixed GrooveStats here. Note that my home version scores are generally markedly higher than any arcade counterparts.

Notes on your comments..note that I'll generally be going on my home version experience for the ITG1 songs, though I've played some of the songs in the arcade...check the Groovestats for which ones. 
-Stepcount isn't everything (Though it is a good guide). Infection really isn't too bad to me on Hard despite the 500+ steps. On the other hand, I rofl at the Expert chart. -I completely agree with you on Oasis Expert (I think). A lot of people say that it's one of the easier 10s; I say the chart is complete bullshit. -Amore is probably the #1 song on EVERY machine, thanks to what I like to call Default Song Syndrome. You can probably figure it out. -My D-Code Expert is NOTABLY higher than my Hard score...by something like 8%. Figure that one out. As an aside, supposedly D-Code is getting re-rated to a 9 for ITG3. I completely agree with this change, and frankly, I'm not sure it's even THAT hard. -Tribal Style is basically So Deep on steroids. I believe it was the 3rd 10 I passed at home (Queen of Light was first, My Favourite Game was second). Again, despite the stepcount, it's really not that bad if you're strong at So Deep or songs like it. -I <3 Bubble Dancer 
-It looks like we have about the same comfort zone as far as reading speed goes. That's pretty cool, particularly as I'm so used to seeing X3 at a MINIMUM thanks to way too much time on DDRFreak and/or ITGFreak. -How the hell is your Rock Out score higher than your Party score? Also, any particular reason you played Party on X1.5 as opposed to X2? -Watching someone who knows what they're doing on Driven is something you must do at some point if you can. Some of it is highly amusing--the very last freeze of one of the songs goes to -100000% Mini, putting a HUGEASS arrow on the screen--but Energizer in particular is amazing to watch--the slowdown in particular does one of the coolest things I've ever seen. And I think that's it.

I do have the advantage of the home version for any of the ITG1 songs (And 5 of the ITG2 ones), but pretty much all of my ITG2 stuff is also a first or second attempt. And if you think Zodiac's steps go to hell halfway through--and I think I know the section you're talking about--I'd stay away from Anubis Expert (Which is a 10) for awhile. It has a similar pattern, but that's not even the hardest part of the song. (restricted) |

All sorts of updates to my arcade GrooveStats. Notes on 3 of the Single scores:

Summer Speedy Mix Medium was accidentally done on X2.5, as opposed to my normal X1.5 (I left it on from the song before, changed my difficulty to Medium as I wasn't sure if I could do it on Hard, but forgot to change the mod). Whoops. Delirium Hard was accidentally on Reverse; the two songs before were Charlene, and....Charlene (I picked it the first time, then the person I was playing with accidentally re-picked it. For something different, he tried it on Expert, I stayed on Hard but added Reverse), and I forgot to take it off Reverse from the second Charlene. Dreams of Passion Hard was a low-score attack. NO ONE had played the song before, and I was trying to see how low a score I could get as a Machine Record #1. Unfortunately, it seems there's a minimum score to appear on records even if there were none previously; it also seems that cutoff is above 37.48%.
And Hiryuu: What you're describing is either Cross/Reverse or Split/Reverse, and I believe it's the former; Alternate, Reverse or no, is the one that would, well, alternate the arrows (Left/Up on one side, Right/Down on the other ["Side" here being "one of top or bottom"]).

I tried Getting Started on Intense and ended up with that and got to view the 'special' ending. Has this happened to anyone yet?
