It's like Robotron/Smash TV/etc. You have a ship in the center of the screen. If you have a dual analog gamepad, one stick moves and one shoots. There was a pretty rad minigame in Ape Escape where you flew a spaceship around and could shoot anywhere like that. Since it was a minigame there wasn't a lot to it, but it was still pretty fun. I imagine a real game like that would be sweet.

Hmm, I'm coming up on that mark. I wasn't planning on making a thread or anything, but if this forum seems to be working out well in 14 posts maybe I'll do something here.

Of course, I wouldn't just post a "I made 1000 posts" thread, I'd like... make an image. Or something. It's been too long since I actually made anything interesting.

it actually looks decent against a white background

Rydain, do you know how/when that became a fad on the board?
like, did someone find it and go "hey look at this retarded peanut haha" and people started using it or something
finding the image was easy enough but finding an introductory thread would be much more of a pain... if such a thread even exists

Yes, a smiley conversion table would be nice. Especially if it was automatically generated from the replacement table, unless that's just done manually with a segment of php.

I actually kind of like this FAQ as it is, I don't mind getting rid of the old one.

I'm not in a position to make an image, and I want to post this now because if I don't I might post somewhere else without thinking about it. So to make this thread interesting and not useless I'll ramble about bases.

Too bad we ended up with five fingers. Four fingers, or six fingers, that would have been nice. Base 8, power of two is sweet. That would be easier. Base 12, divisible by 2, 3, 4, and 6. It's annoying having to go into repeating decimals just because you divided a round number by 3. Base 16 would be the sweetest, because hex turned out to be so useful.

Anyway, base 10 sucks hard. 10 is divisible by 2 and 5 and NOTHING ELSE. That means we go into decimal places way more often. Pain in the ass. 10 is almost entirely unrelated to everything. 5 isn't very common either. It bugs me.

But since we use base 10 anyway, post 1000 looks special. So hey.
