I need more clarification, though: when using an item after your roll, do you declare it all at once (e.g. "I'll roll and then use my red shell") or do you wait until after you know what your roll is?

Milk sucks. Milk chocolate sucks. Sometimes there'll be a bag of chocolate chips, but it turns out they're milk chocolate, so I throw the whole bag into the sun so nobody else gets to eat them either. Milk chocolate is barely tolerable if it's part of some other candy, but just by itself it's the worst. Dark chocolate is the best... with orange.

That's a double negative.

It's an acceptable double negative. If you work through the negatives it has the correct meaning. Double negatives are unacceptable when they give the wrong meaning (i.e. two negatives where one would suffice), or if they make an unclear sentence. This sentence is slightly awkward, but still easy to comprehend, and it gives a different meaning than it would with no negatives.

Looks good. It's legible, but a text box would make it much easier to read. Also, whoever did/does the code, PLEASE make it specify a solid color in addition to a background image. The text is nearly invisible against a dark background, and that's where it'll be if the image doesn't load for whatever reason.

Way to go, Captain Comprehension! Read my post again. I know that a double negative creates a positive.

"don't just make no attempt to ..." is similar in meaning to "make some attempt to ..." but the tone is different. That's why a double negative is acceptable here.

This sounds like the best solution to me. Just delete the temporary file if it's been more than, say, five minutes since they last previewed the post. If they were actually still writing or editing, and they preview it again or attempt to post it after five minutes, the temporary file won't be there and it'll just ask them to upload it again.

edit: in other words, you avoid having to reupload the file on every preview. they only have to reupload if they don't do anything for five minutes. and it doesn't leave a bunch of temp files.
