I used to hack SM1 too until I discovered SMW, it's capabilities outweigh those of SM1...
Anyway, please enjoy your stay, and have fun hacking whatever game you choose. (edited by Xeruss on 01-19-06 03:12 PM) |

A faster way to export levels = File, Export, multiple levels, then give them a base name, and possibly their own folder, then import them all to your backup.

Yes it is illegal, but everyone knows how everyone drives 60 m.p.h in the 50 m.p.h zone, the police know it happens, but they also realize that there are bigger crimes in the making, and unless they're having a bad day, they won't bother to pull you over, they'd be wasting there time, that and the fact that ther'd always be another person to take their place...

Forgot to lock it He wouldn't forget, and if you read the read-me, you'd see that he left it unlocked for when people wanted some of the graphics, just be sure he gets credit.

I think you copied the code in the Mario world reconfigurator read-me for the "missle" what you need to do is open a clean ROM in the mwr and copy the code for the untouched bullet bill, back over that of the "missile bill" and yes proof-read your posts.

My suggestion is to make a screen shot of just the sprites, then open the screenshots in PSP or mspaint, then copy and paste the gfx to the respective places using YY-CHR, and use the mario world reconfigurator to alter the sprites behavior.

Originally posted by Xkeeper Xkeeper has the right idea here, just find a copy of bgmapper 1.77, open a savestate made in a level containing the sprite gfx, and press 0, then extract VRAM graphics, open in paint or PSP and proceed with the instrutions I already gave. |

DOS? DOS? YY-CHR is not a DOS program, google it and redownload it, or just search zophar.net

I believe that would be a problem with XP, not YY-CHR. None-the-less I suggest you re-download anyway.

I see this being quite possible with some minor ROM address tweaks, first if you altered the vine/net climbing speed to about the same speed that "pac-man" can walk, then dissable the jump, and change the climbing gfx, then make the goombas into "ghosts" and use custom blocks for the "powerpills" that would enable silver pow, therfore making the ghosts "edable(sp?)" and then with those coin pass blocks, it would be very possible.

Search zophar.net for something with a name like snestool, yes it is a DOS program (OMGWTFROFLJKSLMHEJX!) but unless you want to add it (the header) manually with a hex-editor (don't it's a pain in the ***) you should just use snestool to add the header, or use google and find a different ROM.

Sorry... no there is not a block that turns mario into yoshi, but as for your first question... yes I believe there is a custom block workshop, but I don't have a link.

I know it's to something completely unrelated, but when I save something using Nero wave editor, it overwrites the original and saves a blank file, supposedly this is cause by a faulty .dll file, it could be the case when you patched it. (unlikely, but it helps to inspect every angle)

Taken straight from the archive.
52F1: ASM that handles the 'TIME UP!' message. You can change the 'BNE' opcode to a 'BRA' to disable it. |

YY-CHR has a virus? What's it say? What are you using to scan YY-CHR? Hmm... now that I think of it I think someone else had this problem. I have firewall and it dosen't say it's a virus, you're probly fine.

Figured I'd let you know, there is a hack in the making called SMW3 Bowsers return. Otherwise, unless you have some very nice ideas, I don't see this hack having much of a future. |
