NO, do you want to know the reason most of us are still here? Because we didn't make usless posts. (Probably one of the only reasons I'm still here is cause the old board blew up after I had only made two posts, then I went to a different board that didn't really even have standards, I got over my n00b phase there, then came back here with the arrival of the new board).

My point is, the best way to not look like a n00b, is to NOT create a new thread everytime you finish a level, people will not pat you on the back for something we all know how to do...

Topic bumper! Ah well, despite the fact that you will almost asurdley be banned, to answer your question, your SMW ROM is modified, it just hasn't had the "Nintendo Presents" changed...

Of course, you might have a bit of trouble with palettes (I did anyway ) so be careful.

Sounds like you and I use a near identical method, the only things I do different is I change the view pallete of the VRAM GFX before I extract them, (using page up + page down). Also, to transfer pallettes easier, just open two instances of Lunar magic, one containing your new level with the new GFX the other containing any other level, in the second copy, import the savestate, then find which pallete the GFX you ripped uses, then copy (using ctrl+click) and paste between the two... rather simple, but quite helpful...

I don't usually listen to videogame music unless I'm playing the game, although I did manage to sucessfully rip a few tracks from Ratchet and Clank (not very good quality mind), And I'll listen to anything mixed/composed by Dr. Fruitcake... And that old zelda music is pretty cool...

I would buy you a beer... but I prolly don't have enough money.
And I don't know where you live.
And if I had enough money they still wouldn't sell me a beer...
So I present you your gift:

Yummy yummy beer...

Fortunetly it's a console app, which prevents a few of the major n00bs from being able to use it...

About the same thing here, I'm still going to lock mine, cause(I don't mean to brag) but I have a few damn nice GFX rips, and I'd rather not they become like allstars GFX. I suppose I have -about- the same policy as the kins, if you CAN, and DO unlock my hack, then you can use the GFX...

Nobody here is a "pro hacker" there will always be ways to improve.

That aside, there isn't any special form of "hacking talk" the only term you are allowed to not know upon your arrival to this board, is ASM (for Assembly) or, the coding of the game, but thats advanced stuff.

Otherwise, I refer you to Alastor's post, which is actually an excerpt of The Faq, read it, while you have your copy of lunar magic open and follow it step-by-step...

When I actually get around to it, my level design can be pretty sweet,
My Overworld design is probably around mediocre.
But it's in Graphics ripping where I come ahead, I have ripped, most of the same stuff Ghettoyouth, and Iceman use (From the original game, not there hacks)
And I have even ripped a few Mario Cart Super Circut BG's (They are rather flat though) But my favorite so far is Antonio Barra's Mario cookie FG, I'd post a screen, but they're on my other comp...
