Somebody should compile such an index for internet publication freedom.

Germany would be very far down on that... unlike printed media, internet publications are hardly protected by press freedom here; the "Abmahnung" (roughly translates to warning) system, which allows to send informal warnings for minor copyright violations or what could possibly be considered libel along with a cease and desist contract and a virtually freely adjustable lawyer fee, is often abused by "rogue lawyer bureaus" which earn their money for looking up copyright violations through Google and the likes (minor things like a scanned section of a local map on a homepage included) and sending warnings along with an ~$1000 or above lawyer fee bill. There's a virtually infinite count of things one could be "abgemahnt" for, so this system often is used to act against publications one does not agree with, given one has a sufficient amount of money and contacts.

I have done something like you describe here back when I was doing SMW hacking (I am planning to start again during the upcoming summer break though). It was incompatible with LM's means of editing though...



It probably would look better with VFW and/or if I expanded it to at least 3 lines.

Chaos Force: Summer break starts in three weeks in Germany, or in two weeks for me because I am headed for the ESE '06 in Spain.

Chaos Force, LemonPancake - yeah, present SMW message boxes have compatibility issues with layer 3 backgrounds thanks to them using, essentially, the same layer as them... my code solves that problem to the extent of only interferring with the data where the message box otherwise would be rather than the layer 3 BG on the whole screen.

I would like to remind the original poster that no matter how much of an in-joke understandable to a certain group of insiders that is, this just is not the way you post a thread in ROM hacking. This ranged somewhere between posting in riddles in a serious forum and blatant spam. Refrain from it the next time, i.e. be somewhat more descriptive of what you are posting about.
Either way, you ought to add information of what you are actually announcing somewhere in this thread.

After doing a number of tests (on-screen colour count, pixel alignments) I can say this quite surely is not a fake or photomontage. Thus, I am honestly impressed, not to say astonished. If this is ever released, it will easily knock Sunny Side World off the #1 position in my private SMW hack graphics toplist.

When I type, I always type out words fully, and prefer using British spelling (though I occasionally spit in the one or other AE word like "vacation") no matter whether on IMs or forums. My typing is fast enough for it not really to make a difference.

Only exception I allow myself is writing with cut capitalization (only capitalizing "I" because it looks weird otherwise and some names to prevent ambiguosity) and alleviating sentence-end punctuation (which, in turn, seems to look weird in them) in "short-line IM systems" like some games with chat character limit or even IRC, where I often tend to type like...

Zophar's still is frozen in a "hack-a-system-from-a-less-advanced-one" time, it seems. They haven't been updated for months, if not years.
