Yeah, playing the blame game will only summon the trump card of existentialist debate. Let us stay away from Satre, Hiedigger, Kiekkergard, etc.

Originally posted by Sinfjotle http://www.nydailynews.com/city_life/health/story/390607p-331333c.html I only have access to 1000 medical journals, but I'm not willing to break my copyright agreement with them I may sort through some of the journals and see if I can find some titles of studies so you can spend money and find them.
D.A.R.E. and all of those are sensationalist. But really, they're not too far off the mark for some of the harder drugs. I mean, pot really doesn't do too much to hurt you. I know this because I know MANY marijuana users. And not too many of them are screwed up because of weed. They're screwed up because my hometown is a festering hole Originally posted by SamuraiX Well, they actually work out to similar costs. IIRC, prison is unbelievably expensive. This is mostly due to the massive privatization in the system which has driven up costs recently. Although really, humanely imprisoning someone is going to be expensive whether or not they get a regular meal plan provided by a well known company or have a well known entertainment company providing services. If you remove drug users with very small criminal records from the prison population and insert them into a different environment then it would probably still cost about the same and generate more social capital when they come out. They'll be well functioning members of society. Another good tool would be to tie prison and rehab centres with MINOR scholarship and education programs in order to allow these people from the get go to reintegrate into society as contributing members. No, it doesn't. But it does show a considerable amount of thought in the medical community is thinking there is some sort of genetic basis in some cases.

Study. Which says small effects associate with allele 1a as cited in that newspaper article. Probably more work done. |

You probably only saw the ABSTRACT
You can follow other links to the 476 page study...You should've known about abstracts and other things if you wanted me present you with academic works. |

Not all atheists believe that Christians are misguided. Thus, an atheist would not necessarily say that.

But that's assuming that the majority of that group is so willing to vote in only a "Christian" way, discounting a lot of opinion. I'm not arguing that the "Christian" demographic in America is powerful, it is. But its ability to become disillusioned is as dangerous as its ability to become disillusioned is helpful. Piss it off at society and gayz to get votes. Piss it off with yourself to drive voters into simply not doing it or pissing the ballot on a lame fundamentalist candidate.

I was talking about general voter disillusionment. Not just being pissed off with the views of some vehement blowhard candidate.

Listen, sonny. I remember that grand summer of 2002. And I also remember all those great times. But my hips just aren't what they used to be. And there are damned kids on my lawn.

I just wanted to use alliteration.
But this is a most necessary and timely thread of which has only be cursorly discussed. This is a tale of hops, wheat, barley, and good water. Some yeast. A great, wooden and coopered barrel and a good amount of time. Some handywork, lots of love, and an intrinsic hatred for that which you refuse to care for. This is the discussion on that most delicious modern nectar and the young person's ambrosia. Whether it is a porter, Imperial Russian stout, pilsner, lager, ale, pale ale, blonde, what have you...it must be discussed. What beers do you like? What don't you like? What criteria do you judge your brews by? |

US help? For the growing micropowers? Venezeula, Iran, various African states, Kazakhstan, and other others? The US has been seeking to reign them in, not to help them. Although the US certainly did help the non-state actors of the 80s. The Taliban, al-Qaeda, the Uzbek Jihad movement, various Islamist groups in Indonesia, right wing paramilitary organizations all across the Southern American continent. So, you could say that they helped out micropowers while they were still all micro without any power.
However, the Cold War was very black and white. Capitalism (USA/West Europe) v. Communism (Eastern Bloc). There were a few nuances in the later period of the 70s up to detente. The only other parallel to it was the NAM. And NAM basically accounter for a fundamental void of influence and just sat there with states either being pulled to a US anti-Soviet side or an anti-US Soviet side. The FAMA breaks between the Sino-Soviet Bloc was the first change in the black and white atmosphere of the Cold War. The end period of the 80s was basically ultra-hardliners seeing the world as "Us v. Communism". Thatcher, Reagen and various others all bought into an even more simplified world view of black and white. Support anything against Communism |

My general favourite beer is one from Peterborough called Church Key. Their Liftlock Lager, Northumberland Ale and Holy Smoke are to die for. In fact, the latter being a scotch ale, is probably my favourite beer of all time.
Good Ukrainian beers aren't widely available. Usually you're stuck with Czech or Polish beers, with a few Lithuanian and Latvian beers in the middle. I tend to like Baltic and Slavic beers alot. Slavutich and Lvivske are probably two of the best beers, ever. My expensive tastes are often degraded by the necessary axiom of cost. Lakeport Pilsner a 24 for 24 is a great beer. So is Carling, which is my official family beer. I've tried some other discount brands, but normally they draw up the bile quickly. Like Lucky. Probably the worst thing to have ever happened to mankind. |

I played a bit of it, and I can see where the reviewers are coming from. Chances are that most of them didn't bother to play it too much. But it seemed like a shallow game when I was playing it. Perhaps you just get cold feet when you first try it out.

I don't know what you're talking about. My buddy is running component cables on his 60 whatever inch plasma HDTV and Rayman looked fucking spectacular. Zelda also looked pretty nice. |
