There are 5 of us. The fellowship grows. We have been hasseled by the police once. They laughed at 20 year olds buying video games. The hobos also are bothering us. I gave one of them socks. The security guard kicked us out of the inside. We're in the rain outside. Myself and the rest of the fellowship are exchanging stories of how sketchy our neighbourhoods are. |

This feels about a good a time as any to make a post. We're back inside. The security guard failed to lock all of the doors. It is warm, and nice. We finished exchanging stories and now we're starting to get tired. The debate is turning to what to do at 4:20 AM 
4:32AM Two more have joined us. Number one is sleeping. Number 5 is wandering around. Number 3 is reading a book. I'm posting here. The epic grows more powerful. I really don't give enough of a fuck to watch television on my computer. I've smoked like a pack of cigarettes and drank too much coffee. The debate rages on which game to purchase. Zelda, Rayman, or otherwise? I don't know. Should I buy another WIImote? I don't know. Notes on what to do: make Nancy Pelosi Mii. Work on Chewbacca Mii. Admiral Ackbar Mii? YES! I think things are looking a little Lord of the Flies. I fear that the shipment number may be less than 7. If so it is survival of the nerdiest and then it shall fall upon myself, number one and number three to ascertain the console and venture into Nintendo bliss of loving serenity. We've already selected a "piggy" A mutual pact of orderhas been reached as 9 and 10 have joined us. As well as 8. He has a PSP. He is Piggy. Almost 7 The line up is now ordered. There are 15 units. There are 16 consumers. My god, its full of stars. 9:42 The staff wouldn't let me take out my computer and had us standing in a line. I finally have the system and Twilight Princess. Everything is unbelievable. I'm currently sick from all the coffee I drank and I'm gathering up money to go on the bus home. Wii. | The EU is just taking baby steps right now. I imagine that after a few more years of Euroskepticism a bunch of parties slightly more supportive of ratification of all necessary treaties will come to power, bringing Europe to a single military command structure and a more powerful trade zone. That's when it becomes a pole power. I figure that "superpower" is going to be outmoded as the power of that title is going to be degraded by nuclear proliferation and more powerful trade blocs. | |||

| It's really not that bad, Colin. My parents and I are currently in negotiations for power sharing. I'm offering to let them have it for a week long stint once a month if they buy a game once every two months And three controls by Christmas 2007 I'm a hard bargain driver.
But, yeah. The ZELDA TP thing is a bitch. When I got mine there were only 4 copies. 11 angry people. |

The US GDP growth is 2.2% I'm just going to flip through my economics text to...Estonia. 7.8, Italy is 1.2, from what I've seen it is the lowest in the EU. On the point of super power, you keep on thinking only in terms of military. You don't think in terms of immediate influence on the neighbours. The US height of influence is on Mexico and Canada. With a lot wielded around Latin America, which is its historic stomping grounds. The EU is surrounded by a lot more, wealthier nations. If Turkey ascends, then suddenly the EU has a direct boarder with the Caucaus states, Iran, Iraq, Syria. That is a lot of influence that you can wield. Massive military that can menace its immediate neighbours and do limited deployment where it is NEEDED is all the projection you need. I hate to keep using superpower, because it is an outmoded term from when the world was black and white, capitalism and communism. The world has changed monstrously since 1991. Non-state actors and micropowers are rising up. The status of "superpower" is pretty much like the king of some Scandinavian country. A nice little memory, but any real claims to the title, beyond sanguin succession are pretty much moot. The US may be the only superpower, but being a superpower in this brave new world only means that you're weakened because you have to be everywhere at once. |
