I was really liking this thread. It was one of the first where I was able to have a matter-of-fact analysis of the business practises of the companies without people shitting on everything. God, I hate you Lakithunder. You're the bane of the intelligent human's existence.

Back to the track though.

Yeah, Wii will outsell the PS3 for at least the remainder of this year. The production of the PS3 is dismally slow and seemingly plagued with logistic problems. But I'm still stunned with the brilliance Sony put forward in how they're marketing the system. It is a lower per-capita loss by selling the more expensive system in the long-term. Only to have the incentives placed on the, ultimately, cheaper system for them. Man, that's some smart shit.

Electronics is a constantly growing market. As these things come down in price then they go up in numbers. This is anticipatory rather than anything. There is not a hint of interest in how to think on this. Sony was hoping to sell a lot of PS3s (shot itself in the foot there) which would generate more interest in HD television (of which it holds many patents). But, that said...In America. Where people are more apt to spend money on these things. Hence you'd focus on that market and the tastes of that market...And you know, tech-saavy Japan. But, that said that 20% is a fucking big market share. And to pass over a clique is pretty god damned stupid in business terms when that clique loves pumping money into anything. I mean, would Nintendo pass over children because it is a proportionally smaller demographic/market/has less ability in raw purchase power? No, because that is an exploitable market that it has good raport with.

Don't fuck up what you're good at. Sony, however, stumbled when it was put into a position where it didn't know what to do.

I injured myself a bunch of times this year. I tried going to do the weights last week. Oh, fuck, christ.

I started on a light bench press of 175. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch. I got to 10 and was just like "WTF".

I'm going to wait until the new year to start working out again. I must heal.

That theory is proven right, constantly.

Brothels only show the LEGAL side of prostitution. That doesn't mean that the other activities around it are legal and victimless. The rate at which women are being taken in as slaves is unbelievably high. Such to the point that at this point in history there are more humans in bondage then there ever has been.

Alright. There is legal prostitution in Amsterdam. Incidentally, there are still pimps, you know why? There is a parallel illegal network in operatiopn. You know why? because legal prostitution is extremely expensive, and a lot of people don't want to pay mass amounts of money. And some people have weird tastes, like children. When prostitution is legalized it creates a stronger underground prostitution network that is even more vicious and worse for the women and CHILDREN involved. There is no way around in making prostitution a victimless crime. Even in Amsterdam women are taken from countries like Ukraine and Russia to the city to be prostitutes through a scheme of forcing them to accumulate debt to a pimp who trafficks them for a few months until they pay down the debt, during that term they're complete slaves.
