No, my mother and all her family simply didn't get the damned things. It is weird, but my mother's didn't come in, at all. And the dentist said that the same will probably be for me.

That adds little to this conversation. I've chastised both posters for their lengthy, if not interesting, dialogue which often bordered on insults. Skydude, you didn't partake in this and I'm going to ask you to butt out of this if you're not to contribute anything. Kapeesh?

PS: Props to those that did participate in this conversation (SS/Dracoon, mostly) for remaining relatively civil!

I am currently trying to bring my french skills back up to code. They've become woefull decrepit. I suppose this is what happens when you are not consistently exposed to a language and have little, if any, ability to practise it. Mind you, this is the Devlish France French, rather than Quebecois - which is the best of all the French. Onto the song, though. It's kinda like British garage rock, or sounds like a slight pre-cursor to some modern indie-rock. The rockin' kind. Not the whiney kind. It's really quite an enjoyable song. Mind you, I only discovered this artist while listening to KMFDM's cover of his song Mini, Mini, Mini off of Hau Ruck.

Star Trek canon is easily bent because of the time scales we're talking about and Roddenberry's general ambiguity surrounding the origins of many characters (Berman, as good as his early work was, ruined this ). The Star Trek canon easily accomodates any necessary changes made to it. I mean, Star Trek V is ignored as part of the canon of the entire series.

But the science has progressed that we're able to make the required measurements based on what we can find in the environment and can extrapolate things from literary work about climates. We've only been able to monitor supernovae and understand what they are for a half century, yet does that mean we should dismiss all the research we have?

What about auto-sexuality and other forms of sexuality?

Go and talk to sex researchers (I have) and you'll see that our knowledge of the topic is woefully inadequate due to its depth and highly personal nature. Most of the posts decrying positions in this thread are highly subjective and simply stand to defend people's own lack of comfort/perception of their own (and other's) sexuality.
