Seriously, does anyone know how to get anything out of the boss of Impa's Ways?

Originally posted by Euclid... I have to wait to kill it until the floor tiles finish!? That's kinda dumb Edit: Haha, wow, that fight was stupid-easy that time; Moldorm trapped itself in the side, so I didn't have to worry about it at all as I countered the floor tiles. On the other hand, yay three dungeons completed. By the way, what's dash jumping? Also edit: Crap, I just gave up my magic powder in favor of a quake medallion... I mean, yeah, Quake is Quake, but I just LIKE my Magic Powder... Also, I went into Rauru's Ruins real quick trying to find a bubble to use quake on just to see if you get a fairy from it like you do from the magic powder (which, really, had been the way I was getting through these - though I often take massive damage, there's lots of fairies around, and I have three bottles) and I stumbled upon the ACTUAL solution to a puzzle I completely subverted. You know the room through the boss door left of that four-way intersection, right next to the lanmolas room? Where you push the block out of the way after getting the key from the skull to go on. Well, if you go through the Lanmolas room, you can just push that block to the right, also out of the way, and then go into that crevasse and grab the key and then teleport out and you don't have to deal with any of that stuff. Incidentally, it DOESN'T turn bubbles to fairies, so I restored from the save from just before I lost my magic powder, as magic powder is clearly better... Unless there's some way to get more magic powder, anyway. Is there? (edited by Alastor on 01-04-07 09:36 AM) (edited by Alastor on 01-04-07 09:58 AM) |

I'm at the parallel tower, but I can't get past floor six because I only got two keys and I need three
I do NOT feel like going through every room in it that I can find. Can someone just tell me where they are? |

I merely imagined the dungeon to myself as mainly consisting of four rooms in a 2x2 square repeated stacking on top of each other, with each warp moving up a level except that one leads off. Then, once you get through the next warp on the way, you go to an area that's like the beginning but with different connections... And if you go to far, you warp back to the beginning, though at one point there's a way off, and that leads to a key and the boss.
The chart basically summed up what I knew in an immensely confusing fashion... It's not inaccurate, though, it's just hard to follow. Well, there's one inaccurate part after the second offshoot of the main path it should say that going through the warps takes you to the LEFT of the square of four, not the right. But that's basically it. |

Spoiler (Cape):Cape's in Sheik's Hideout. It's kinda hard to miss. |

For a brief moment, you clip the next set of stairs up and can long jump, gaining a bit of momentum each time. Since there are so many stairs, after a few repetitions you go fast enough to appear on the other side of whatever over the course of a single frame; thus, no collision detection occurs, and you go straight through.

You can go south and exit and go in through a hole somewhere else which is under a skull.

Spoiler (key 3):Wow, #3 there I got in a way best described as "Completely different where actually from the path with the skulls and the invisible floor which I found exploring that floor I dashed into into one of skulls and bounced to the other side, then ran against the pit to avoid falling, making it to the other side and allowing me to get the key without any of that roundabout crap." And on an unrelated note, recently I found that you don't lose MP from the magic cape while slashing your sword. I must admit I've taken to donning it, holding down the turbo button, and holding down the "speed up emulation" button against armos knights.
Edit: But this new puzzle is... ... What the hell... No clue. (edited by Alastor on 01-05-07 07:25 AM) |

To be fair, it's like a screen from that entrance, and once you go through the main of the dungeon the first time you know exactly where to go and much of it you don't need to do. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get back to where you were. (edited by Alastor on 01-05-07 03:56 PM) |

Yeah, for some reason I thought I had to follow advice from a message block in Saria's Gardens (And could only find one, which was unrelated).
I wonder why that could be. Why do you think, Yuggom? (probably because Euclid said so) |

(Hint: I deleted the post 'cause I realized the comment probably had too many spoilers) (Also hint: It's Alastor the Stylish)

I, too, am missing the big chest in Sheik's Hideout. I also haven't found the big chest in the parallel tower's red path (which, I'm told, exists).

Hurrah; I got the sixth key for the blue path of the parallel tower. At least, I assume only six are necessary. Three present and three in each world means nine total, three of which were used on the red path, so... Heh.

Man, the X button is pretty useful. I just wonder where the flute, shovel, and bombos medallion are... Edit: Also, a fourth bottle would be nice. Edit: Got the flute (edited by Alastor on 01-06-07 08:44 PM) (edited by Alastor on 01-06-07 08:48 PM) (edited by Alastor on 01-06-07 09:15 PM)

Wow, that final fight was... Intense. My Game Over count rose from 2 to 9 before I won, haha.

Also, there were way more tablets than I thought, according to the credits screen... I thought there were only 7... Well, at least I wrote down where they were located. Also, effing nice on making a second quest. |
