Golf and Boxing. Boxing much less so and I probably shouldn't have voted for it, but eh. I just like the way Golf plays. It's more calm than the others. It's... Nice.

No seriously, shut up. You need to be more clever and/or unexpected, you can't just say stupid things and expect it to be funny. That actually quite takes the fun out of it for everyone else

That thread was made well before the game came out in places other than Japan... And reviews by people who can't wait for a translation into their own language tend to be rather skewed.

As I stated in IRC as well, if you are suggesting he perform a three month bump instead of the accepted practice of making a new thread asking people's opinions, then uh. I would disagree on that point.

It says off-topic posts aren't allowed and will be deleted on sight. Many of the crappy posts aren't off-topic, just stupid and useless.

Because... You did something... That was judged bad enough to give you a red name, and thus approval was revoked for the duration of this warning. Did someone send you a message saying you did something wrong? Because that was probably it. And if you haven't... setz said he was gonna send one out in the morning if no one had done it prior.

Edit: Where morning = this morning. He said it last night.

That is a horrible title screen. You really should have gotten someone to draw you a new one. Text is so... Ameteur. Also, the use of SMB3 music makes me kinda sad.

Really, I don't much like any of the new graphics I've seen so far. As I feel is common among many hacks, this uses graphics that don't fit with other graphics. An inconsistent graphical style is a bad thing. Also, you didn't fix the ending fading, which is , to say the least. On the other hand, your palettes aren't distracting, except that you don't seem to know when to use red... But these are all relatively minor issues, since nothing is really THAT bad. Except the castle background, I really hope that doesn't stay constant, it's awful (though I'm not past the first world so I don't know).

Level design's not so bad, except the first level which was rather annoying (and ended abruptly, to say the least). There are bland parts, but then I could accuse everything, ever of that, and my work is no exception (though I would say it's better about it ). Really, though, you can never go at a reasonable speed and thing don't seem to be well placed. I haven't gotten that far into the hack, but I don't think I'll see any real problems except what's been said already. So... Decent job, I guess, just... It's not really as good as it could be. It's not bad, certainly better than most, but... Eh.

Edit: Beat world 1. I must say, the boss seemed very bland. Maybe it's just that I also made heavy use of Big Boo Boss and am biased, thinking I did it better, but eh. Also, Zycloboo looked feh already; on that background, with the transparency, it was just awful And why were all the koopas blinking with the Magikoopa? Did you not set the right mode? Also, your overworld has too many square objects with barely rounded edges. It's not much of a step up from just squares... And the graphics of the new level are... I'm just not gonna make more comments about that. I don't like your graphics, as I don't think they fit at all.

Whispy Woods was cool, but... It DEFINITELY didn't need to take as long as it did. If you just pay attention, it's not hard, as you just need to jump every so often; thus, it's a very tedious battle of endurance. I mean... Almost two and a half minutes? That's just excessive.

Now that I've played a bit further, I believe I can give a better review.

The level design, and the ideas, have gotten much better after the first world (as is often the case, I believe due to getting better and more consistent at things go on.) However, there is a consistent problem with your levels: You often do not let the player advance at a reasonable pace, artificially lengthening levels. You come up with ideas that are not bad, then mercilessly overuse them to the point where I found myself using savestates, not because the levels were too hard but because I just didn't want to play then over again because they had gotten so dull. Then there are also the graphical and palette problems I already mentioned... This is not a bad hack, and is definitely one of the best I've seen thus far. However, I believe it just has too many flaws to be considered great. Above average, definitely... But SMW hacks can be much, much better.

More to come likely once I finish the hack, which won't be for awhile as I just can't stand to play a lot of this in one go... Because yeah, this hack is just ruined by the pacing issues.
