Ailure, this isn't early in development at all. Also, this isn't a prototype - prototypes are extremely early. It having functional levels and music means it's well past Alpha stage, too. This is most likely a prerelease demonstration, assuming Sega followed a development plan that even approached sane.

Pirates were just way better fighters than ninjas. Like ninjas, pirates relied on the elements of surprise and confusion in most of their raids, but they were actually capable of more than this. Ninjas always go in unnoticed and perform assassinations, 'cause they suck ass in real combat - have you ever heard of a ninja actually winning a straight fight against any military person, samurai, or ronin? No, because that's not how they fight. Of course, you can't just assassinate an entire population - that kinda doesn't work. Thus, even if the ninjas somehow sneak up on the pirates, the pirates will pretty clearly win out, because pirates have battle experience and ninjas don't... Plus, pirates have better weapons than ninjas. Guns are just way, way, better than throwing knives and shuriken.
Ninjas can't win. (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-12-06 07:06 PM) |

Uh.
What. No. I mean, all the cool names are really weird... And common names, no one would know. Plus, then there's the matter that most anime sucks and isn't worth tributing... All of which adds up to "no." |

With every single beat of my heart
Yes, I was born to take care of you Every single day... I was born to love you With every single beat of my heart Yes, I was born to take care of you Every single day of my life You are the one for me I am the man for you You were made for me You're my ecstasy If I was given every opportunity I'd kill for your love So take a chance with me Let me romance with you I'm caught in a dream And my dream's come true It's so hard to believe This is happening to me An amazing feeling Comin' through I was born to love you With every single beat of my heart Yes, I was born to take care of you Every single day of my life I wanna love you I love every little thing about you I wanna love you, love you, love you Born - to love you Born - to love you Yes I was born to love you Born - to love you Born - to love you Every single day - of my life An amazing feeling Coming through I was born to love you With every single beat of my heart Yes, I was born to take care of you Every single day of my life Yes I was born to love you Every single day of myFUCK. Fuck. Right there. Every time, I miss that beat. So god damned frustrating. I hate that so god damned much, it comes out of nowhere. I hit it right the first time it does it, but right then, going in reverse, it's... Augh. I always hit the start and drop out, but no, it wants me to hold that note, doesn't it... By the way, Elite Beat Agents is a damn fine game, but Hard Rock level is just absurd at times (which you might have gotten). I just want a perfect. I don't even care about getting a really high score, just as long as that combo does not break I will be happy... Finally perfect combo'd that level. After an hour and a half. Rank: B.
Edit: Basically that song has been my biggest problem with the game. These early Hard ROCK! levels are easier than the final Sweatin' levels, which have you hit very, very long strings where there are several notes, and I'm kinda thrown off the first time I see one of these where there's a slider along that. But then that song is different - it has that slider on a note that is only very briefly held, for a very brief time, and I can't perform based on rhythm - rhythm to tells me to only lightly strike it, which isn't what I have to do. So I failed. A lot. (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-13-06 11:33 PM) (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-13-06 11:46 PM) |

No, really, I haven't played Sonic 1 or Sonic 2 in years. I thought the music for act 3 was the Sonic 1 music

Originally posted by Pasgeti_;Yeah, but this prototype has three, and the third quite clearly had the green hill zone music from sonic 1 (and the first two did not). At least, that's what I remembered. Obviously the fact that I was very sleep-deprived as I went through it influenced it.Originally posted by Alastor the Stylish Edit: No, going through it without the level select, that's definitely different music alright... Edit: Wait with the level select that's not even the same... Oh my god I am so fucking inattentive hah Edit: Ooooh. It's the Marble zone theme. That explains me not quite understanding that it wasn't from sonic 2, because it just wasn't what I remembered at all... Edit: What the fuck marble, I mean starlight Edit: Further analysis indicates they put these on top of starlight zone actually, ha ha, I need to pay some attention, really any amount at all would be better than what I have now (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-16-06 12:07 AM) (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-16-06 12:08 AM) (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-16-06 12:09 AM) (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-16-06 12:11 AM) (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-16-06 12:12 AM) (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 11-16-06 12:14 AM) |
