FPI, I totally understand your plight, but the thing is... Curious newbies ARE helped. I can't think of how many times honest questions have been answered. When people do what the announcements, sticky threads, and board rules themselves clearly state, things go well for them. The fucking morons like magic_vampire_joe who ignore all the rules, post nothing but crap, and ask retarded questions easily answered by checking help files, clearly linked places, or google who are flamed out of here or banned.

It seems like few of you are capable of common sense anymore. It is neither the responsibility of staff, the responsibility of experienced hackers of the board, or the responsibility of experienced hackers on staff to explain to the idiots here why what they are doing is stupid. It is intrinsically obvious. You can't make a stupid person smart. Believe you me, that doesn't work. People learn through experience, and if they don't learn quickly, they repeat their mistakes and get banned, or at least very much shunned by the community. They can come back when they mature or learn how to avoid acting ignorant, and in fact many people have. However, if people want everything handed to them in a silver platter and don't want to learn how to do anything by themselves, then I see no obligation to do anything for them. Oh, and peter, you are one pretentious, pretentious person.
