It makes sense that they're only having that much, though. Isn't Bluray really expensive to make right now? (Also explains the price.) I'm not saying it's reasonable on the consumer, but it make sense that it'd cost much.

Actually, thinking about it, how much did the first Ataris sell for?

Kyouji: Not sure on what an Atari would cost in today's money if it was released, but some people might buy a PS3 instead of a Blu-Ray player - those are going to be MORE expensive at first. Swallow that.
The extra stuff certainly justifies the price increase... And Colin, they're eating the money on the PS3 sales to promote the bluray format. It's likely going to be less functional than a real bluray player, though, like the PS2 was with DVDs. With more people being capable of playing blurays, though, more people will support bluray movies... So by eating money now, they get more money in the future. Or at least, that's the plan.

Lemme just say this now.

Wanting that as a background makes no sense at all.
... But simple logic indicates it's 512x432 pixels of background space, though you shouldn't need more than one GFX file for something like that, if you tile it properly.

no, because, there is 6 color used for that BG(including transparency), and layer 3 can only have 4 color
Right, because it's IMPOSSIBLE to have palettes set up so that joining colors are shared between them, and everything on the layer has to use the exact same palette

My grandmother and grandfather on my mother's side are both dead, but my grandfather and grandmother on my father's side are both alive and well at 83 and 84, respectively. I rather expect grandma to live to at least 100

The best thing to come out of it was when Steven Colbert, in response, pretended to eat the insides of the egg the eagle named after him hatched from and attacked Cruise for not loving his child as much as Colbert loved his, as evidenced by Cruise not really eating the placenta of his child.
