It's not so much that Super Mario RPG was a terrible game, but Paper Mario and Paper Mario 2 were just... So much better

But yeah, this game rules so hard.

It just sucks that I can't say what makes me love it to death because of spoilers

That always happens. Because Cruel Justice has these brackets -> [ ] in his username which conflicts with the quote thingy.
Raven needs a less sucky name, yes.

Also, I comb my hair, and then lie down in bed for awhile so my hair fluffs up and looks less ridiculous.

This guy is right. It's dififerent, but not wrong... Though I must admit that if the style was everything drawn with only blue solids with red outlines, and then quickly flashing between those two colors, that would be really annoying (and seizurific).

Yours certainly looks sharper, but I prefer the one that's winning. It just has this... Quality to it. If it was more professionally done, it'd be far superior, I believe.

Setzer's right, though. The original is better than both... Though, not by TOO much, I think.

Posted on 05-06-06 08:54 PM, in Mario Kart DS tournament 2: The Bloodening (Tournament Has Started!) Link
Interest in the game has revived, and thus I figure it would be a good idea to make another tournament (and other people prodded me until I actually did).

I thought I'd try something a little different this time, and make a full double elimination tournament. If you're not familiar with the type, the general gist as that we start with so many players, and then they all play in the first round, and the winners move to the winner's bracket and the losers move to the loser's bracket. If someone loses in the loser's bracket, they're eliminated from the tournament, and if someone loses on the winner's bracket, they're knocked down to the the loser's bracket... And then the people are paired up and continue on. At the end, the overall winner of the winner's bracket faces the overall winner of the loser's bracket for the title, though the loser's winner must win twice in a row against the winner's winner (the first knocking them down, and the second eliminating them).

To give everyone a fair chance, I will not be competing in this tournament. Instead, after all is said and done, the overall winner will face me for a sort of championship match (since, after all, I won the last tournament).

The signups close in June, or whenever we get 16 people signing up. When that happens, I'll randomly generate matches and set up a schedule. If you're signing up, make sure to post your friend code.

Alright. Signups over; matchups are as such:

Round one now begins.

01. fabio (friend code 270.642.478.161)
vs.
05. timdevril (friend code 528.345.369.574)

09. PrincessPeach (friend code 511.161.204.869)
vs.
03. Colin (friend code 060.191.882.769)

08. dragon master (friend code 184.745.762.681)
vs.
04. Gywall (friend code 309.299.722.371)

02. KirbyATW (friend code 365.133.137.833)
vs.
06. dcahrakos (friend code 515.465.897.729)

07. Chaos Force (friend code 485.401.231.333)
vs.
10. Shadic (friend code 524.045.874.444)

Moved to Winner's Bracket:
Gywall
Shadic
KirbyATW
Colin

Moved to Loser's Bracket:
dragon master
Chaos Force
fabio

Well that level of activity was... Sad... so we're dropping the people I never heard from and moving on. Those matched against them are assumed to have won, which rather puts us at an impasse, as the winner's bracket isn't supposed to ever have more players than the loser's bracket, and yet I can't penalize people for their opponents not showing up... So I had to randomly drop one person down to the loser's bracket, who turned out to be fabio (as you likely read above). Round two matchups have the winners bracket matches randomized. I don't want to drop Chaos Force for inactivity due to his enthusiasm, but I know he can't be around to race anytime soon due to being hospitalized, so fabio has to race dragon master.

Round two matchups:

Winner's Bracket:

02. KirbyATW (friend code 365.133.137.833)
vs.
04. Gywall (friend code 309.299.722.371)

10. Shadic (friend code 524.045.874.444)
vs.
03. Colin (friend code 060.191.882.769)

Loser's Bracket:

01. fabio (friend code 270.642.478.161)
vs.
08. dragon master (friend code 184.745.762.681)

So now we have

Winner's bracket: KirbyATW, Shadic
Loser's bracket: Colin, Chaos Force, Gywall, fabio
Eliminated from tournament: timdevril, PrincessPeach (Imoto), dcahrakos, dragon master

Round 2.5 matchups:

Winner's bracket:

No matchups.

Loser's bracket:

03. Colin (friend code 060.191.882.769)
vs.
04. Gywall (friend code 309.299.722.371)

07. Chaos Force (friend code 485.401.231.333)
vs.
01. fabio (friend code 270.642.478.161)

Winner's bracket: KirbyATW, Shadic
Loser's bracket: Gywall, fabio
Eliminated from tournament: timdevril, PrincessPeach (Imoto), dcahrakos, dragon master, Chaos Force, Colin

Winner's bracket:

02. KirbyATW (friend code 365.133.137.833)
vs.
10. Shadic (friend code 524.045.874.444)

Loser's bracket:

04. Gywall (friend code 309.299.722.371)
vs.
01. fabio (friend code 270.642.478.161)

Once again, no real time limit.

I dunno, perhaps I'm just depressed 'cause of everything that's been going on... I suppose it's natural, considering I'm moving out soon

But still...

Uh, no.

I play Mario World hacks with friends all the time. Entering destroyed castles is easy. Hold L, cancel the screen, hit R. Or the other way around.

I'm sorry, I've just had so much to do

Seriously, I was gone most of yesterday and had too much ELSE to do when I *WASN'T* gone to do much posting.

On the plus side, I did get stuff done. That tends to happen in such situations. I've taken pics of some possible apartments, and Cy's going to look them over and it looks like we're going to be getting an apartment from Hampton Greens. It's not cheap, but it's very close to DigiPen.
