No, he was able to damage me thanks to some lucky topdecks, but it was pretty one-sided. At the end, I had a Dark Scorpion - Meanae the Thorn in defense position and a D.D. Assailant in attack position... My hand was The Creator, two Meanaes, Heavy Storm, and Reinforcement of the Army. He just had a set monster and one card in his hand, and he was down quite a bit of lifepoints. I played Reinforcement of the Army to get The Creator Incarnate, summoned it, tributed it for The Creator, discarded Meanae to get Exiled Force from my grave, tributed Exiled to destroy his set monster, flipped Meanae to attack, and hit him for 5000 damage, winning.
that is how you win with style--I've never been able to run combo's that high and I guess I'm out of touch with what in the game now since (1) I haven't seen the show in ages (2) I really haven't played any of the games and (3) I've never collected the cards -- how much have you spent on your deck?
I don't remember how much I spent on the deck but I do remember it wasn't that much. Almost all the cards in it are in structure decks... The most expensive were the D.D. Assailants, which to be fair were pretty pricey (I don't remember how much but they were over 20 dollars each and I got two).

In case you're wondering what those cards do...

Dark Scorpion - Meanae The Thorn
DARK/Warrior/Effect
1000 ATK
1800 DEF
Level 4
When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects: - Select 1 card that includes "Dark Scorpion" in its card name, or is named "Cliff the Trap Remover", from your Deck and add it to your hand. - Select 1 card that includes "Dark Scorpion" in its card name, or is named "Cliff the Trap Remover", from your Graveyard and add it to your hand.

The Creator
LIGHT/Thunder/Effect
2300 ATK
3000 DEF
Level 8
Select 1 monster from your Graveyard. Send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard and Special Summon the selected monster. You can only use this effect once per turn. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard.

The Creator Incarnate
LIGHT/Warrior/Effect
1600 ATK
1500 DEF
Level 4
Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "The Creator" from your hand.

Reinforcement of the Army
Normal Spell Card
Add 1 Level 4 or lower Warrior-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Then shuffle your Deck.

Exiled Force
EARTH/Warrior/Effect
1000 ATK
1000 DEF
Level 4
Tribute this face-up card on your side of the field to destroy 1 monster on the field.

D.D. Assailant
EARTH/Warrior/Effect
1700 ATK
1600 DEF
Level 4
When this card is destroyed as a result of battle with your opponent's monster, remove from play both this card and the opponent's monster that destroyed this card.

... But messy is still preferable to the ridiculous choppy look you get when everything's straight.

Observe.

My solution would be to not have so many lines, since that avoids the entire problem.

So I watched through it.

It sucked.

It was stupid, and bad, and not very good in general.

Have you even played the demo, 182etc.? I suspect that you have not if you did not realize that a ladder appears upon completion of harmony island 2.

Yes the waterfall goes behind the ledge. That should be... Really obvious.

Taking out some of those lines made it look even worse. This should be an effective compromise.

Also, you made me draw new overworld tiles. That's not cool.

I don't much see how it could possibly be considered legit when you're using things outside of the game to do it. Is it theoretically possible to make a legit run exactly like this? Yes. Is this a legit run? No.

Yeah... I believe that that phenomena is tied to the use of savestates, as I've observed it when running through as fast as possible using savestates to get to specific points faster, but not when playing normally.

Edit: damn you asdf

Oh, come now. Everybody here who has had a proper childhood would get that reference. Now, if you really want a nerdy reference, you'd say something like "there is a shovel next to a house in Blueberry" or "Harry and Marv were knocked out by Marley the alleged shovel slayer, saving Kevin's life" or something like that.
