All three versions of the original game (Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari, River City Ransom AND Street Gangs) have a naked girl in the graphics. I have never seen her during gameplay, and she is a full tile taller than the regular RCR sprites. After three regional versions, you'd expect the censors to find her...

In DNM, she's at 3E4F0, extra feet tiles to her left.

I disagree. Those menu graphics are as fake as Office's are. All they do that requires XP/2K is their shadow, and vbAccellerator stuff is known to degrade gracefully.

Even the "blue bar on text, button outline on image" style is a fake. Best you can get without faking is "full-width blue bar with inverted image" style, like in Explorer when you highlight WinRar/Zip's items.

In the IconMenu control source, I could find no reference to shadows and no relevant version checks. In fact, GetVersion is a red herring.

I checked for XP in the IconMenu code, negative. I'll look into ExpBar now...

Update: the only instance of "style" in the Explorer Bar code is in the ExplorerBarStyles enum.

Fact: DNM had the guys in gakuran, the girls in serafuku. RCR and SG had the guys in shirts and jeans. RCR-EX has the guys in gakuran no matter what version it is! Discuss.

Tanaka is one of the various "Ta-naka-mura" names. Take two out of these in any order and you get a valid, if not unoriginal Japanese name, Tanaka being the most common, seen for example in "You Only Live Twice".
