It all started with a BBC documentary about different managers (especially Bolton's Sam Allardyce, who has now threatened to sue the BBC) accepting bribes to buy certain players they would otherwise not have bought. You can read more about it here.

And I'm guessing season tickets are hard to come by, I think most clubs in England have a waiting list. Also, thought I don't know this for sure, I've heard that Chelsea are among the more expensive clubs ticket-wise in England.

Yeah, that terrorist attack sure shocked me. Well, time to have a huge and emotionally loaded discussion with Tomguy over whether to go to war with Afghanistan or not...

Anyway, the only reason I'm posting here in Craziness is because of the stories here. We should totally make a Story Forum to separate the story threads from the rest of the threads in Craziness.

Oh, and all praise be to Danicess and Femine, because they are all, like, women and all.

I don't get what makes Friday the 13th in October more special than any other Friday the 13ths...

Not that I get what makes Friday the 13th so very special. Well, I know the lore, I just don't bother to care.

That being said, I might just happen to party that day. Not sure if my home exam is due Friday the 13th or Monday the 16th, partying varies greatly on this little tidbit of information.

Social Democrat, which means I believe in an active government to secure the welfare rights of the citizens, socialized medicine, public schools, etc, etc, all the while maintaining a controlled, but free market.

Now, if I were to answer these questions, which really are more suited for the current debate in American politics, and as such not so important for my political viewpoint:

1. Are you for same-sex marraiges?
Yup, I honestly don't see why they should not be allowed to marry. All love is love, and all have the right to celebrate their love. (and for the cynics, given the economic advantages to marriage, it's just not right to block out an entire part of the people

2. Do you think it's wrong for the word "Jesus" to be used in public?(i. e. on billboards and such?)
Nope, just as I don't think it's wrong for swearwords to be used in public either.

3. Is abortion plain wrong or is it justified?
Personally, if a woman I had impregnated wanted an abortion, I'd want to sit down and talk to her about it. i'm not completely down with abortion, but I don't feel that it's right to push my moral code on others in such a life-changing situation as this, thus I am pro-choice, and I would also respect the ultimate descicion of the woman I had impregnated.

4. Are you for the war or hate it?
I'm against it, always been against it. It causes more tension between the middle-east and the west, and thus increases the likelihood for violent clashes between westerners and arabs.

5. Should the government raise taxes to go to the poor and such, or should we be entitled to more of it ourselves?
High taxes are needed in order to maintain the welfare state. Besides, what you pay in taxes aren't just lost, it is returned to you in form of necesarry public services.

Bitter and pissed off. Braaten's goal was perfectly legit, the replays showed that he was onside, but for some reason the assistant ref. decided that he was not. We should have had a draw from this match, but things just didn't go that way.

Watching Greece was painful today, by the way. "Whoa, there's a player next to me, I guess that means I can fall down now!" - Even Portugal would be embarassed from the display the Greeks showed.

What then, about Christian homosexuals? Should they not be allowed to perform their civil union in the house of worship they belong to? All because some Christians have taken it upon themselves to judge others and decide who is worthy and who is not worthy of belonging to their religion?

My point is, if you make it into a divide between civil unions for homosexuals and atheists outside of church and marriage for heterosexuals inside church, which is how I interpreted your previous post, how can homesexuals get a church marriage? They've already been given their option - civil union.

And you don't have to lecture me on how different Christians have different political and moral viewpoints. I was raised in a Christian Socialist tradition. Heck, my father is a Lutheran minister who votes for the Socialist Left Party. I'm fully aware that being a Christian doesn't automatically turn you into an evil conservative.
I'm also fully aware of the situation with homosexuals joining Christian congregations (some have compared it with blacks wanting to join the KKK, a rather silly comparison, but I guess it gets its point across), and how nearly all Christian congregations allow homosexuals in their ranks. We're discussing marriage here, however, and the problem with homosexuals not being allowed to marry within church, mainly because it does not fit with the viewpoints of those withing that specific church (so I probably should have written something else than "belonging to their religion" in my previous post, for that I am sorry).

And that I guess, is sort of the problem with homosexual marriage and the debate around it. While I feel it is important to respect the rights of minority groups such as homosexuals, it does step on the beliefs and cheapens the religion of other people. One should respect people's code of religion, as well, however wrong one may think they are. You just can't make everyone happy.

And with that I shall step out of this discussion, as I am beginning to notice that I am getting into deep water here, that I am a bit tired, that it is a bit late, and that I'll start contradicting myself and make even less sense if I keep going any longer.

Hm, I think it's time for me to explain my position clearer, as it's obvious to me that we're not discussing the same thing. While you are discussing homosexual marriage pertaining to the current contemporary debate in American politics, I'm discussing it on a more general basis, seeing as how current domestic politics in America is an issue I am neither very knowledgeable nor highly interested in.
Further, the reason I reacted to Silvershield's post in the way I did is because I come from a country where it is written in the constitution that the Evangelical Lutheran Church is to be the state church, and where Parliament has semi-controll of the church. As such, to me it seemed that a law separating between marriage and civil unions would make it impossible for homoseuals in church. Had I thought things through, I would have known this would have seemed absurd to an American, where the concept of state church is foreign, but, as mentioned earlier, I was very tired yesterday, and thus that slip-up happened. My apologies.

Well, as the newspaper's headline said today "Here [picture of Braaten being onside while getting the pass] we're snubbed off a goal... ...but, oh well, we're still ahead of schedule"

Impressed by Scotland, yah. I know it seems like ludicrus to expect them to go through, but with a draw away to the Ukraine, they have a really, really good shot at it.

Got a 60 Tauren Hunter on Scarshield Legion now.

So this friend of mine invited me to a Rend-run yesterday and I tagged along, even though I wasn't too interested (I'm currently doing Scholo and Strat to increase rep with Argent Dawn), and then Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge dropped and I won the roll... Totally messed with my plans, now I gotta do Scholo and Strat and in addition I gotta do UBRS to get that other sword in the Dal'Rend set. And I ain't got much time if I want this to be worth anything (seeing as how TBC is approaching soon)... *sigh*

So what's Hungary's deal? First we own them, so you figure, they're not close to what they used to be, then they beat Bosnia, so you figure, maybe it was just us being really good, then they lose to Malta, so you figure WTF?

I <3 Canada!

Ademolu and Bernier were teh shit today, Bernier basically owned the midfield, didn't do nothing wrong, Ademolu scored 1-1 and did all the work on Årst's 2-1.

The hope is there again! Lillestrøm will probably shoot us down again come monday next week, but with a win we could survive!

I remember this question being asked a few years back, with answers spreading out about 50-50, so I figured I'd ask again to see what people say now.

After you die, if these are your two options, would you prefer to simple cease to be, cut into the nothingness, or would you prefer to keep existing, exist, know you exist, have a working brain, etc, etc, but spend your days being tormented and brought to loads and loads of pain?

Last time, I went with the Hell option... Nowadays, I'm not so sure no more. Non-existance seems scary to me, I would like to keep thinking, knowing, feeling, but is the eternal pain worth it?

Bah, Hilario didn't impress me. Sure, he had some perfectly acceptable saves, but nothing that you wouldn't really expect from a Premiership goalie. His attempt at picking down the ball when you had that duel in the box though, showed that he is not exactly the greatest goalie in the world.

Lillestrøm has had thousands of goalscoring opportuinities, they should have had a penalty, they've been controlling the entire match, while Tromsø has played most of the match looking like a 4th division team and only manage to create one goal scoring opportunity..

The score is Lillestrøm 0 - Tromsø 1

Please, please, please, please, please don't let Lillestrøm score in the last 15 minutes...

Edit: We just got the cheapest penalty ever, 0-2!

All the unfair shit that has happened to us this season seems to be made up for in this match alone! 6 minutes left now...

Edit: It's all over! Lillestrøm got a goal 2 minutes into injury time after a horrible mistake by defender Steen and goalie Ramovic, but who cares? We won!

If we win, Viking and Molde (and preferably Fredrikstad) lose, then we realistically have playoff at worst. Molde can't capture us then, and Viking can only pass us if they happen to win by a lot and we lose by a lot, since our goal difference is much better. If Fredrikstad lost as well that means we're at safe ground before the last round. Fredrikstad has Rosenborg in their last match, Fredrikstad is good at home, but that good?

Either way, this magnificently unfair win has given us a realistic hope of survival again!

Pretty much a perfect round. We won, Molde, Viking, Sandefjord, Odd, and HamKam lost. Only minor irch is that Fredrikstad won. All in all, though, I think we've made it. Molde's relegated. Viking can only catch us in theory (they'd have to win by a lot and us lose by a lot), and we have Sandefjord, Odd and HamKam all behind us on the league table. This means that if one of those three lose their last match, we've survived this nightmare, and are ready to come back and make a better impact on the league next year. Of course, we're not 100% safe yet. If Sandefjord, Odd and HamKam all win their matches while we lose, it's qualification, and then anything can happen. One week left before a season review can be made. I can finally realistically hope that it's a season review with a positive end.

Yeah, there was a time when Molde/Aalesund, Viking/Bryne, and Tromsø/Bodø were all realistic playoff matches - and they are all fierce rivalries. Of course, now the Molde/Aalesund one won't happen since Molde is relegated and Aalesund achieved direct promotion, but the two other ones might still happen.
