There's no compression -.- game uses N-SPC and all the data is present as-is, raw hex. If you mean the samples are compressed, I wouldnt so much call BRR a compression so much as an encoding (or maybe it is a compression, but we're talking about the data itself right?) Theres no funny compression going on. As to answer the question, you can repoint the data anywhere in the ROM as long as the game still knows to upload from the new area in to SPC memory. If you go over the SPC memory limit, stuff will break.

The credits to Metroid 2 are found in Super Mario Land 2 o-O in Pokemon Emerald, they also put in all the music from Fire Red (and I mean all of it, including stuff like intros) in, but its never used except for one song (Mt. Moon's theme is used in Altering cave) o.O Pokemon silver also has some seemingly useless unused items all with the same name (which currently escapes me)

Clearly, it means you don't. And this is the wrong forum. Even if you did get in this kind of question would be unacceptable, so why should it be here too?

Uhhm...they tend last a LOT longer than that..my Pokemon game is much older than 4 years and the battery is still working, and I have games going on 10+ whose batteries are still going strong.

But if the battery currently on the cartridge isnt a rechargable one, attempting to recharge it could cause negative effects. It could even explode, I know this to be true with alkalines and though I really SHOULD know more about the mechanics of lithium based batteries, I don't think it'd be a good idea of course, if the battery is of a rechargable nature (and, lithum batteries may be just that), then by all means, give it a go.

Basically what Sukasa said, only I might recomend using caulk to reattach the board itself back together. I used to use it alot as an electronic adhesive

You obviously have less than three brain cells. You also aren't welcome here. Don't post in this forum again.

The maps? Horrible. What did you do to the tilesets? Why are there Pokeballs on trees? What's the point of everything being a cave, wheres the storyline?

Also, it sounds like your other hacks weren't exactly the most impressive or the most intriacte either (purposely making glitches is a BAD thing ), so really, you have no place to be taking up an attitude around here. So far, this hack has really failed to impress me. Put a little effort in to your work and maybe then it'll come off better. Really, everyone has to start somewhere, but releasing glitched crap is no way to do it.

You're going to need to have a really good knowledge of C and/or ARM32 assembly, also. You might want to check out devrs.com if they're around still, they've always been pretty resourceful

No we're not doing this ._. you probably just started this literaly tonight. You have nothing to show for it and the few things you have to show for anything aren't even worth showing. So just...no. If you actualy do something we'd want to see, then you can post about your hack.

Do I even need to say why I'm closing this? Everyone said what needed to be said. I trashed your other thread for a reason. This dosn't even look like you tried. It dosn't. Until you can show us you've tried, we don't want to see what you've done. If you can't do that, take your business to Pokecomunity, I hear they allow and praise crap like this.
