| $7E0076 is the RAM address that stores Mario's direction, right? I already know the values for left, right, and puts you in the middle of the block (you can still move, as if half of it was a passable block), but I can't find the value for when Mario's direction is down. I'm making a block that makes mario slow unless he is falling, and so far I'm at the CMP command. And I would use it to check if it's left or right, then use a BNE command, but that would make his speed normal while moving up. Anybody know? | |||

| So, basically a stop block then a start block in the beginning, then a start then stop at the end? Yeah, if you only did a start at the beginning, then a stop at the end, it wouldn't work because of the re-chase thing. I'm asking if that's what you meant? | |||

I don't like it. 31. And the number 2023 from now doesn't even seem to far
Although I highly doubt the board will be around, but the thought has come across: Will I still be hacking SMW? Will I even still use the board? (If it's still here. By then, it'll have blown up about 2 or 3 more times.) |

I guees your right. With the forums and all, but I guess that the board WILL have blown up a lot more than two or three times... I guess we'll just have to wait and see ![]() |

Ok, I read the tutorial, and it's much easier to do it hex for me, as I couldn't get ANY compilers to work on my computer But anyways, I can make an average already made block easy, I can use most commands easily, but I can't figure how to get the CMP command right. Can somebody help? |

Heck, with a little imagination, (or if your just plain weird ), anything can be funny. Even " If you laugh, or think this is funny, you will die." Well, maybe not. But still, it's funny to some, but not to others, I guess ![]() |

| I was putting CMP #$(whatever) and right after, BEQs and/or BNE's. I guess I get it, but I guess I worded wrong, although your information helps a little.
It's the branching. Where does it branch to/ how do I get it to branch some where? Like the labels in a compiler... but how do I "branch to a label" in hex? |

| I made in an attempt to get 5 minutes without my friend saying "Where do I download this?". It's basically just a collaboration of some of the most commonly used tools and a copy of Demo World, as well as instructions on how to use some of the stuff. It comes with multiple tools, ZSNES 1.42, and a few patches. I made this so people wouldn't bug about where to find different random things about where to get certain tools, but it hardly scratches the GFX surface. But it does have an SMB3 music patch included, and has the graphics extracted and re-inserted already, but has the graphics in the folder, too. I think it will help some n00bs slightly... But oh well.
Download Here. Why didn't anybody tell me the link wasn't working? (edited by Sparx on 09-05-06 12:39 AM) (edited by Sparx on 09-06-06 08:19 PM) (edited by Sparx on 09-06-06 10:05 PM) (edited by Sparx on 09-07-06 08:03 PM) |

| Yeah, I'll upload it later. Right now, it has the stuff my friend kept bugging me about, but I guess I could put the M16-7K patch and instructions. I might also add a few more patches, tutorials, and some other stuff. But I can't now, I'm in school. I forgot some stuff last night too, I took an Ambien, and...zzz...
Ok. I've added a few things, such as Ice Man's M16-7K tutorial, Irfanview, PSP, and other various stuff. (edited by Sparx on 09-06-06 12:03 AM) |

| 2 seconds to grab my PDA and throw it at him without moving
8 seconds to grab random gaming stuff and throw it, 12 seconds to run down and actually attack him 10 seconds to grab a knife, 10 more to grab a knife Varying amounts of time to crawl and hide under desk |

So after BEQ with $00 next to it means the byte after $00? If that's the case, no wonder. I've been putting $0Y/ $0X (random numbers), thinking that it would branch to that offset number. And do you mean to put branch where break is? ![]() |

Ok, I get it now. As would $01 go 2 after the $01 and so on. Thanks for the help with that, I was wondering why all of my custom blocks would just screw up ![]() |

| Oh, sure. You've made it so that I can, I just have to re-code them and stuff so they work. I had so many blocks I was going to make =) | |||

I personally like the Acmlm adventure idea. But could you explain to me how the race would work? Wouldn't the player be able to make them follow one path? But it would be cool to have them follow seperate paths around the world, if that's what you mean... I just got thrown off by race ![]() (edited by Sparx on 09-16-06 08:01 PM) (edited by Sparx on 09-16-06 08:05 PM) (edited by BMF54123 on 09-29-06 06:10 AM) |

| Well, you could force them to take seperate paths, using Mario Only and Luigi Only blocks, that way they would need to be... them... to pass the first of their levels. Wait, nevermind. If the player saved, then restarted, they would both be able to start on the other palyer's path. Unless you put a Player Only block after every save point... |
