Woah, fourteen pages. No way I'm reading through this one.
Well, I clicked it. Out of curiosity, thinking it was a thread with a title that the author put a lot of html on. I got suspicious halfway while it was loading, but before I could do anything, I was banned. ;[ I probably wouldn't have clicked the link if I had actually seen the text at the header first. So, yeah. I see XKeeper's point in the announcements page. The whole "bugzapper" thing was probably kind of useless, but on the other hand, it would probably help tell the noobs that the staff (and a lot of others, likely) are getting extremely annoyed, and are attempting to keep them from breaking the last straw. I suppose it's a good way to tell them to either stfu or gtfo. ... Ah, who am I kidding? It'll probably make them act even more noobish.(edited by Blue Warrior on 05-12-06 08:37 AM) |

| If I wasn't banned, then I could edit my profile, post on topics, etc.
I wasn't able to do that. |

| Hmm.... This topic's probably dead, but I thought I'd let everyone know that I've decided to postpone the midis for this RPG. I've been buried in projects for a while now, and I thought I'd just try to finish them all one at a time. I've put this as #2 in my list of things to do, so it doesn't mean I won't be doing these anymore, just not at the moment.
Hopefully, I'll still be able to get done by the deadline. I'm guessing so, as that's more than a month. I can probably shoot for a midi a day, and since school's almost out, I'll have a lot of free time to do stuff on the computer. Meanwhile, maybe try getting another midi maker for the time being; although I suppose there aren't many of those at Acmlm's Board, maybe someone will shout, "Ooh, pick me! Pick me!" or something. I dunno. ![]() |

Geez, I certainly haven't read this in a while. Ah well, that just means more comics in one sitting for me.
The comic's good, as usual. I can't wait for another General Guy scene; those seem to give me the most lols out of it all. |

Wow, this thing is just awesome. The existing sprites uploaded there are just what I needed, but even if it isn't there, I can just go ahead with the existing sprite editor and mess with it a bit. It's a win-win situation for me!
Only two things I can think of that would make this even better, and that'd be to insert the options of "Takes three jumps to kill" and "Enable goal event when killed"; that'd help for making custom bosses. Of course, those events probably can be easily created and I don't know it, but I still can't exactly consider myself to be an expert at SMW hacking, so I wouldn't know.
EDIT: Hey, look at me, I didn't even notice there was a config file that ended the level when all the enemies on a screen are killed. Well, that solves THAT problem. ![]() (edited by Blue Warrior on 07-25-06 05:00 PM) |

No more slow loading, constant viruses, and having to wait for Mom to stop looking at jewelry and furniture and get off the computer. To top it off, it's easy to set up and go places with, so it's extremely convenient for me. Heck, now I don't even have to get out of my room to go on the internet. ![]() (edited by Blue Warrior on 07-26-06 12:35 AM) (edited by Blue Warrior on 07-26-06 12:36 AM) |

You guys know that group hack called Mario and Luigi: The Great Exodus that I organized half a year ago that kinda fell apart? Well, believe it or not, I'm still working on it... well, on and off anyway. (I have no progress worth showing, nor do I know if anyone else is still working on it, but I'm doing so to at least get a single demo out.) So, I was wondering to myself: "You know... I probably should have used the SMB3 music patch when I started my hack. It has a better variety of music than SMW, so it'd probably help spruce up the hack." So, I tried implementing both ips's of my hack and the SMB3 music hack. Anyone who's ever tried doing something like that would probably be able to guess the outcome of that.
So, plan B was to simply export all of M&L's contents and shove it into the music hack - whatever I couldn't export I could just make again. But there was the problem. I looked at the overworld and thought to myself, "Hey, where's the export button?" After some looking around, it was pretty apparent Lunar Magic doesn't export the overworld. So, to the point, what I'm wondering is if there is any way to import and export the overworld: its events, its paths, the tiles set, all that stuff. If there isn't, or it's a complex way of doing it, it isn't a big deal; the music would just be a nice feature, which is why I wanted to do this in the first place, but I otherwise don't need it. So, let the discussion commence. |

Thanks for that, smwedit. I had no idea you could do that; I would've just supposed it saved to the previous rom. Either way, yay, Lunar glitches!
Using the "export multiple levels", "export pallettes", and "export gfx/exgfx" seemed like an easy enough task to me, so those are covered. On the other hand, there is the exception of Map16 blocks.... ![]() |

Wow, excellent work. I'll definitely be using these sometime.
Also, I got a request: could you/someone make a fire brother? It'd just be cool to have the whole trio bros in a hack. |

Actually, now that I think about it, a Mouser sprite would be cool. Also, I remember someone making, but I dunno if it was open source or not... lightning-throwing Lakitu? ![]() |

Lishy, if you want the best chance of getting custom sprites in your hack, I suggest you toy around with the sprite tool a bit more, and take a bigger look at the readmes included. (edited by Blue Warrior on 08-01-06 07:06 PM) (edited by Blue Warrior on 08-01-06 07:07 PM) |

Hey, chill. Unless I haven't checked through the board and seen that you've done bad things to the board to the past, it's not like the admins will permaban you on the spot for one small thing you did. Tempban for a week, maybe, for somehow annoying the public, but really, the most bans I've seen on this board are because of reregisters and idiocy, and... well, you don't look like a noob to me. Unless you flame people or troll around the boards, you needn't worry. |
