| I must have somehow not given it to you when I sent the whole staff the ips patch. Well, check your email now. | |||

| Eh, I'll take your word for it.
Anyway, I added a new background. Meanwhile, I guess I'll just take ratings out of five for the layout. |

| You ought to ask Hyper Hacker; he's the level director. | |||

| Hyper Hacker, reading through the whole thread, I have to agree with Thayer; you're not making a load of sense.
To sum up what happened for you, the .net part was changed, and it made linking very annoying. When Xk said "Exploicit," he meant "explicit," which was obvious, because he said that it was a typo afterwards. Originally posted by HyperHacker Originally posted by HyperHackerIf you can't understand that post, then there's seriously something wrong with you here. Xkeeper's post was perfectly understandable from my point of view, which is just about as normal as yours. Originally posted by HyperHackerThere is a large difference between a flame and disapproval. Thayer posted a notification of annoyance and disapproval about the change of the domain name. It was not an attack, therefore it cannot, under any circumstances, be considered flame. Saying it's a flame is like saying a good review of a Nintendo game makes that person a Nintendo fanboy. I've said it once, I'll say it again; you're hardly making any sense. Such little things that you can't understand makes you look like a nine-year-old. This post is not a flame - it's a message of disapproval. (edited by Blue Warrior on 12-28-05 03:44 PM) |

| How did Kirby do that, you ask? I have the same answer as how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.
Twenty-three. |

| It's a good thing the castle had windows. Blue Warrior dashed through a window and clinged onto the ledge until the blast had sub-sided. Whether or not Blue Warrior had been hit, he didn't feel like finding out.
Blue Warrior sat on the window, looking at Ansem, holding his charge. If Ansem could only have his shield on for one turn, then Blue Warrior would just have to take a breather and wait. So that's what he did. He waited on a window, carefully watching Ansem. (edited by Blue Warrior on 01-07-06 03:12 AM) |

| Mario and Luigi are both good characters in their own ways. Mario is very well-balanced, and has pummeled several villains countless times, let alone saved the Mushroom Kingdom. Luigi may be cowardly, but whenever his brother was faced with fatal misfortune, Luigi was always there to rescue him.
But let's not forget Yoshi, either. Without him in the SMW2 timeline, Mario probably wouldn't have lived to this day. My point is, even though Mario is my favorite out of the two brothers, he can't always do it without his brother. |

| Quickly, Blue Warrior shot his charge and instinctively swung behind the window, hoping dark blasts didn't go through walls, which they probably did. He didn't really know much about magic, so he didn't have a clue. "You and your dark magic," he said. "Can't you do any physical attacks once in a while?" | I realize the pipe background was a large mistake, as I've already gotten a few complaints about it. When I finish World 2, I'll implement all the exgfx needed to make it at least graphics-worthy. I'll most likely end up making some of it myself. We'll see.
Also, I suppose I might not be that good at level design. I'll try my best and use my imagination. In fact, I think I'm getting better ideas than like I did in World 1, so there should be improvement.
As for the website, I seriously need to get to updating that this weekend. I'll think up a better design while I'm at it and finish the missing pages.
No need to rush. Haste makes waste. Besides, I'm a little behind as well.
EDIT: I've updated the mini-site. (edited by Blue Warrior on 01-16-06 01:06 AM) |

| I voted SMB3. There are several reasons for this, actually.
My first reason is its wide variety of enemies. If I'm not mistaken, it has even more enemies than Super Mario World, which is saying a lot. It had fire-breathing pirahna plants, micro goombas, jumping snakes made out of fire, and fire, sledge, and boomerang brothers, some of my favorite enemies. I even liked the bosses. Although the bosses were basicly a Koopa Kid with a wand, they still had level variations and special abilities to make them harder. And I also liked fighting Boom Boom. Basicly, it's better fighting Bowser eight times in the same frikkin' game. Also, what's wrong with the level designs? They had a variety of layouts, many vertical levels, and you could go in and out of water in the same level. They even had P-switches and platforms moved or fell when you activated them, and some of the levels even automaticly scrolled. I didn't find that boring at all. Also, powerups. You got the star, mushroom and flower; that's standard for Mario games, right? BUT: raccoon leaves, frogsuits, clouds, hammer suits, tanuki suits, P-wings, and more could also be acquired in mini-battles with hammer brothers, toad houses, and even in a standard level. You could even hold all of your items in the overworld for whenever you want to use them. That completely outranks all other Mario classics by a longshot! And the bonus features - can't forget them. There was a spade game, a slot game, warp zones, and 2-player battle. SMB1 just had two warp zones. So, there, you have my view on SMB3 vs SMB1. (SMB2 obviously loses.) As you can see, I like variety, and this has a lot. You guys can continue arguing; I'll probably just stay out of this for now. |

| As the bricks of the wall fell, Blue Warrior fell with them, hitting a tree and them collapsing on the ground, outside the castle. "Ow." As he got up, the fist of the shadow knocked him back down. Aggravated, Blue Warrior grabbed the shadow guard, smacked it in the face, proceeded to kicking it in the groin, then walked back into the castle, and threw it at Ansem. | |||

| The new background looks nice. However, it certainly clashes with the ground's grayness. I'm sure you were getting to this, but put some color into it.
Meanwhile, the koopa looks a bit weird with its head up for no reason. You may want to edit that. |

| Hmm... I heard about this just now, but it sounds interesting. The game can take music in midi, mp3, and wav formats, right? If so, I can maybe contribute to this hack by making some music. I'm an excellent composer (as proof of these compositions), and I'd love to take part in doing it.
If yes, give me imformation about the theme(s) you want me to make, and I should have one or two midis per week for ya. |

| This has some neat concepts in it. The hatless Mario reminds me a lot of ROTMK 4. Also, if he's not going to be Li'l Mario, you ought to asm hack the Hatless so that he can also spin jump through turn blocks.
I like the idea of co-op in a one-level game. I'll definitely have to check into this. |

Originally posted by Ran-chan +In complete detail, they were previously midis I made with a program called Cubasis, but they were synth-specific, so it wouldn't sound good on some people's computers. (They were only meant for SB: Live! Midi Synth.) Then I recorded them with Sound Recorder using the correct settings for best quality. After that, I converted them to mp3s with a wave-mp3 converter device called SCMPX and put tags on them.Originally posted by Blue Warrior Anyway, I downloaded RPG Maker XP, and I noticed you can loop midis in whichever spot you like. If you'd like me to do some of your music for this game, I'll make some loopable midis. I'll be sure to have them synth-flexible so some people don't say, "Dude, this music's annoying." Originally posted by Synthrax + That looks nice! I can see the setting in this. However, I have a few suggestions on your graphics... 1. The background grass blends in with the foreground too much. In order to distinguish it with the foreground grass, you should make it so it blends with the sky color. For example: the current sky color is black, thus you would make the bg grass darker than the fg grass. 2. Your blocks seem a bit... plain. For the prize block, outlining for solids is usually a dark color, like dark green, dark purple, dark orange, etc. I'm unsure whether it will make a difference or not, but you might want to make the outlining a dark color. In general, though, your blocks should at least a bit of shading or slightly bold outlining like the default graphics, if possible. Otherwise, everything else is well done. Keep up the good work, and, despite my eagerness to play this, take your time. ![]() |
