| Due to the fact that I haven't been here long, I would say that I'd at least be disappointed. With my short time coming here, I've found this to be my second favorite board out of all the boards I go to. There's much to do here, and I would hate for this board to be utterly anhilated.
If this board were to go down, the least we could do would be to regroup everyone and start a new one on some other domain that would be very similar to this board. |

A note to the level designers: do not make the secret exit a key. The player will know which way is which if the exits look different. Make it more challenging.
Two things I want to say here: 1. EDIT: The original text has been marked by my essence of stupidity. 2. I've said it once, I'll say it again: keep all of the switch palaces in the extra submap. The story is that there's a sanctuary, so it holds all of the switch palaces; they aren't scattered. Plus, let me edit that extra submap when you're done with the rest.

Hmm... could you change the World 2 boss to Reznors and make Morton some other boss? Also, I don't think you need three Reznor boss levels. Remember, you still have the Big Blue Boo. (Besides, I don't think Bullet Bills in boss levels are even possible without ASM hacking.) Perhaps you can make that Boo the boss of World 3, where the boss level is a ghost house at the end of the long bridge. So, technically, the boss order could be this: w1: Iggy w2: Reznors (Normal) w3: Big Blue Boo w4: Morton w5: Lemmy w6: Ludwig w7: Roy w8: Wendy w9: Larry w0: Bowser wX: Reznors (Slippery) Oh, and also, despite my critique on your progress, I want to say that you're doing a great job on the overworld, especially in such a short amount of time. | As far as I know, you can't. When it says, "CANNOT RENDER: This is a boss level!" it means, "CANNOT RENDER!" If you go to the sprites window on a Reznor level, you'll notice that none of the sprites are viewable. If you try making a sprite by right-clicking, nothing happens.
Besides, with the fact that bosses take gfx, it might not matter if you can add sprites or not. Chances are, the sprites you want to add share a few slots of gfx with the boss. That said, I'm gonna get something to eat. |

Very well. Now, the reason I wanted Reznors in World 2 was because I was going to have the player race against a flow of lava from the previous level. Now that I think about, lava from the ocean is probably not going to flow into a castle. Anyway, the order looks good. I suppose I can have the Blue Boo as a mid-boss somewhere. I want to get him in somehow, but we'll figure a way. Alright, you can edit the submap. =P I personally think the inside of the sanctuary should be light blue. Sure, I know it's an odd intro for Bowser's submap, but hey, it's a sanctuary; it oughta look like one. ...And if you don't like it, then dark blue.
I ain't complaining; you're making good progress. Just be sure to get to that deadline, though. I got level editors waiting! Also, in other news, I'm almost done creating a "mini-website" for the M&L:TGE game. When ZTaimat gives me the overworld, I'll start a new M&L:TGE thread and introduce the new webpage. |

| That would seem appropriate.
Also, I have an idea for the winter caves. Due to my logic from playing Pikmin 2, I would suppose that the caves would be warmer than outside. Perhaps we can add some exgfx for small patches of snow, and make the water not too cold to swim in. |

| Let me state that the circle one has a background auto-scroll sprite that must be activated by sprite C1 (the winged triple-block). Since it would look weird having the snow move still until you touch that sprite, I would suggest not putting in the auto-scroll and to simply make the snow animated. | |||

| Nice job on the overworld. I have a few complaints on the graphics, though.
First of all, World 9's environment looks a little empty. It's like all there is to it is a giant multi-rectangular platform with no surrounding clouds or anything. This isn't much of a big deal, though. I can probably edit it myself anyway. Second, though, I was already working on my own custom gfx for the levels. I see you put in a suitable amount of time fixing up some of the graphics, but may unfortunately become overrided with the stuff I've been working off. Besides, the castles and cape feather replacements just look kind of wierd, in my opinion. I don't know if you purposely replaced the castle designs with odd scribblings or if was a glitch in the game. Anyway, I'll try to save the all of the best gfx that I can. Also, I like the fort level idea. Perhaps I'll make a minigame out of each level, that way it really feels like a bonus. Anyway, since ZTaimat doesn't want to be co-director anymore, that means a spot's open. As soon as I fix up my M&L:TGE mini-website and fix some of the bugs in the game, I will create a new topic to replace this long, large thread and introduce my mini-website. I'll also email all of the staff members their needed materials. Expect this to come Sunday at the latest. For those you who want to know when a demo release will be ready, I'll mark up a date when World 2 is almost finished. |

| In my very early experience in hacking, I would do about a level or more a day. In all honesty, the levels weren't completely original. I simply used the default levels as my base and kind of "decorated" it.
As of now, though, it varies. I have different ideas for each level, so I might be able to get 1 level in 3 days or 2 levels in a day. As every hacker should do, I test my levels for bugs, and that can sometimes add up to my time. |
