I like some of these ideas. I hadn't really planned on doing much with the enemies, but things change, right? I'm not requesting anything here, but If you'd like to show some of your ideas, go for it.

Current Progress: GFX and ExAnimation for what appears to be the interior of a Train level

I'm not too sure what this will implement, however

have you messed around with the "destroy level tile settings" dialouge?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I don't know how it works, since i've never experimented with it, but it appears you can destroy up to 24 tiles upon completion. It looks like you just have to set the selected tile to become destroyed after the following event has been activated. The switch palace tiles obviously aren't going to dissapear, and can't have other tiles on the same layer be placed over them. I think you need to mess with this dialouge to flag that the palace has been cleared so that the switch tiles will change into the flattened ones.

Why do people do any flaming online? There's no point. They have nothing to gain, and I can't see how it can possibly make them feel better about themselves. Maybe they don't like this board because they don't have the freedom to be as completely stupid and idiotic as they possibly can?

This board does have some pretty strict rules, but they're simple enough to follow. Maybe there's just something I'm missing?[/rant]

I don't see how flaming in any way, shape or form can be enjoyable. I don't feel bad when I make others feel bad with intention, but I never usually do.

I like what Tarale said. You may forget that you are talking to a person, and use it as an opportunity to see what you can come up with in any given situation. But what really gets to me is that the people who come here, post annoying or stupid threads, then get banned probably sit there and think "Ha, I pwned them. My work here is done"

, i got hooked on myspace last december. I don't even think I'd be joking when I said that most everyone in my school has one. Plus, it allows flaming. Of course, I don't flame anyone unless they start it, in which case never usuall happens.

BTW, I just totally bumped an old thread.

I guess so, but sometimes they do it just to prove they can. Say, they really have no reason to do it, they just think it will make them cool or some kind on legend. As far as legends go, there are infamous ones, but doing any flaming whatsoever a legend does not make.

Again... refer to the overworld map. The smilies are what mark the levels, meaning that they are only just levels. There are only six forums that go deeper than being a single level, and those are the ones marked 'new'.

Progress: I vow to do something each day that will benefit this project, but I didn't do much yesterday. I updated the train ExGFX. I'll actually work on this later. Right now, I'm woking on 'FAQ', which will pretty much be a step by step guide to playing the game, a "training room" if you will.

I already got it figured out. The lemetaal method seemed much easier, because I wouldn't even know what to change those values to.

I just got back from the homecoming football game, and decided I would update. I have finished 3 unique levels that I'm pretty proud of. The FAQ level is a vigourous test level (it isn't timed, because I'm not smart enough to do that). The second one is the afore mentioned Train level which is pretty spiffy, but still needs a little work, and the third is what appears to be a courtyard for one of bowser's castles.

EDIT: Each one still needs work, however, because they don't meet the requirements to be based off of ACMLM's Board.

This board seems to have really slowed down in the last 2 minutes of doom.

Doom is now iminent.

GFX page 27. If you're using YY-CHR, then set it to 2BPP GB. I don't think the regular levels and bowser level use different GFX, just different pallettes (or not).

I made a similar level. Your best bet is to use sprite EA where Y=1. This way layer 2 will be constantly rising and falling. If that's not what you want, just place sprite F5 (Layer 2 rise when touched) at Y=0. I'm just throwing it out there, though. But remember, if you want the lava to rise when layer 2 is touched, you'll need some actual land on layer 2, because Mario obviously can't stand on lava.

I'd say it helps a little. I mean, you still get the occasional question that could be answered by reading the help file, otherwise most of the outrageously stupid questions/comments have dissapeared.

I would enjoy that very much. Like a question about opening N64 games in LM? Yeah, that would be incredible.

I don't even think there are any ACMLMers in the state of Iowa besides me. I think it would be weird, because nobody probably looks how I picture them.

Who would fund such an event anyways?
