Thanks! Sigh... Now I simply have to figure out how it works. Once I get the SMWFX.asm patch in, I'll try to see if I can work the Vanish Cap code so I can have a block that can only be passed while invisible. Oh, speaking of the Vanish Cap, is there a way to make a block sprout one? Plus, is it possible to place it in a Blue Switch Block so when you hit it, a Vanish Cap comes out? You probably get where I'm going with this. Now that there's a Vanish Cap, who's to say the Wing and/or Metal Caps might come one day? Not saying it'll happen soon, or at all, but only that it looks like it's getting possible.

I refused to have mine pulled too, but I never once had to get the surgery. I was told I'd need it (and I didn't want it), but then when my wisdom tooth came in (at least, the one on the left side of my mouth), it came in the right way- no pain. O_o I was happy.

A few things:

1: In that plumbing level, you have water that mysteriously vanishes on the left and right. Either make GFX for a waterfall and put it there (and use a Movement Down block to get an actual waterfall from SMB3), or TAKE OUT THAT WATER ENTIRELY.
2: For "Morton's Tower" set its Castle Sequence to 3 or 7. Castle Sequence doesn't tell the game the order of the castles, but what Back Area Color to load and what end sequence to play for beating the level.. Because Castles 3 and 7 were in underground areas in the original game, they have black Back Area Colors to show that they're underground. Makes no sense to me, though. Why couldn't they just make an underground layer 2 background for it? Anyways, just try that. It'll work. Trust me. But you'll have to switch some Boss Sequence Texts to match up with the new Castle Sequences.

Brinstar's palette is UGLY. Seriously, make EACH part gray, to fit your "mine" theme. Or, to fit both a mine and ice theme, make it blue. PLEASE. And by the way, it's NORFAIR, not "Norefire". And the last area is called Tourian.

I can't agree with that part at all. Actually, I like the palettes in http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/8615/abiguppdate1ss2nc0.png a lot. The combination of grey background with the bright blue infrastructure creates an interesting look to it.

That's Crateria. I was talking about the Brinstar areas. But other places look good, if not WEIRD. But I like weird. (Weird=Different from what I'm used to seeing in SM.) But honestly, this hack's theme IS a nice idea, but your palettes are a bit off. Work on those more. And honestly, turn those simple text addresses into links. It's easier that way. Making us copy them into our address bars is going to flood the dropdown box with past sites we've visited with links to those pictures, which we don't want in our address bars.

Yay for Morphing! XD I can't wait. Secret 3 was a hard Secret Level in the GBA remake of YI, so... I hope this level is EVEN HARDER for me (I know you said that it'll be harder than Secret 3, but... Sometimes, hard things are easy for me. ) than Secret 3 was. In fact, the only Secret or Extra level I could never beat was Extra 6. XD Too many spikes. I hope you don't do that in Extra 6, or I'll be sad indeed... Oh, speaking of the Secret Levels, are you planning on adding your own Secret Stages to the hack? I really hope so. They brought more fun into the GBA YI (I like new levels. ). Without them, I wouldn't have had fun with it. I can beat each world in the original with ease.

Oh, that's MUCH better. NOW it looks sort of like a mine. If you can, find a way to change the Brinstar tiles and change the vines into something more mine-ish, like... Phazon. Well, maybe not Phazon. But since you're going with an ice theme, why not change the vines tiles to something more crystalline? Make it a crystal wall, or just replace it with the normal ground you're using. Just a suggestion to make it look more like a mine and to help fit your ice theme. Plants generally don't grow in ice at all (or cold temperatures for that matter, except the evergreen trees), so I don't see the point in having plants in an ice theme, or even in a mine, for that matter. It can easily slide near Norfair, though, since Norfair is supposed to be deadly hot. By the way, if you find a way to change the palette an area uses on a screen-to-screen basis, you should maybe change Brinstar to look more like the normal Brinstar the closer you get to Norfair. That is, assuming you're putting the Norfair elevator in Brinstar...

To fix the BG thing, make sure the FG and BG Initial Positions are THE EXACT SAME HEX NUMBER. It works for me that way. And now, I'll try your demo now.(Stupid download link took me to a blank page when I clicked it...)

Edit: It won't let me download it. It thinks it's a text file, and when I click on it, it brings me to a blank page. Refreshing gets me these weird characters. Going back a page gets me the same characters at the top of the thread page. O_o If I right-click and Save As, it tries to save it as a .txt file with the extension .ips, so LIPS doesn't recognize it as an IPS file. Help, please!

Even attached FILES that you download don't work. Click on them to get a blank page. Refresh to get a lot of jumbled characters that don't make sense. Click the "Back" button to go back to the thread with a BONUS: The jumbled mess of characters you get when you refresh at the blank page the download link sent you to. O_o

Then use the Mushroom Block. It turns Mario into Super Mario when hit. Or the Anti-Powerup Block. It takes away his powerup when he goes by it. O_o

I usually go to sleep around 11:00 to past midnight. ...I like to stay up and watch Good Eats of Food Network at 11:00 and then I either go to sleep or watch Match Game on GSN until Midnight. Then I either go to sleep or watch a little portion of PlayMania on GSN.

I only get insomnia around Christmas. Seriously. I have the WORST insomnia during Christmastime, and 2 years ago, it was the worst it ever was for me. I couldn't get to sleep AT ALL, and eventually, I was given one of my presents early to try and help me sleep. O_o In short, I get insomnia pretty easily during the end of the year, and New Years Eve doesn't help a bit. All those fireworks keep me up... ;

I'd like to continue it, if you don't mind. But, uh, what HAVE you done? Honestly, I don't care that the patch messes up the GFX- I can fix it somehow. I only need to ask Bio. Or YOU can ask Bio how to fix it and continue the hack yourself. But I'm NOT going to let this idea die. Not now.
