| She began by ranting about how much of a douche bag I supposedly was for telling her friend about me and her at the beach. I was angry as all hell and she sends me another email. Shes going around telling all my friends how much of an asshole I am... and it just pisses me the hell off. How could one person be such a jack-ass as to make me look bad out of what seems like boredom.
It's obvious that she was the one who looked like the jackass so she had to do some character assassination to make her self look better (and / or feel better about herself.) I wouldn't worry too much about it. If your friends are decent people they will see right through her bullshit, especially considering she's an angry exgirlfriend of yours. |

The above code is basically LDA $A0 and multiply by three. Just as a hint, it's easier to do this: LDA $A0 : ASL A : CLC : ADC $A0 Saves two bytes and probably 4-5 cyles. And yeah... your patch looks pretty straightforward and we're going to have to see what kind of mileage we can get out of the limited $100 bytes of sprite CGRAM. Looking into that in the near future. |

Definitely. If this were more than just the coat tails effect, then I think you'd see some more dramatic progress against the republican side. The dems have the senate by one seat, and a slim majority in the house. This is pretty typical American politics. |

| Asking questions like: Is it possible to do X... or can you do X... are rather pointless. A more pointed question would be "how hard would it be do X thing?" Of course these things are possible given time and effort, as long as the system it's running on can handle it. The question is more of your own capability. If we're going to alter those three (8 color) palettes why not also find a way to change the red and blue palettes that don't seem to change? I mean, enough with Red and Blue enemies, they look stale after so long  . Also, changing the palettes that the enemies use is not difficult. I think we can get a lot more mileage out of this.
I'm not able to confirm this at the moment, but does anyone know if sprites disappear on a normal room transition? I know they disappear on a "warp" type room transition. And by that I mean anything that uses "Staircase 3 / door" and "Staircase 4 / door" while using a door, not a staircase. Good example is room 1, which exists in Hyrule Castle. It exits to the left and right to rooms 80 and 82. The point of me mentioning this is that I think it might eliminate some worry over sprites changing palettes on room transition. On the other hand, it looks less realistic when your sprites disappear on a room transition  . One solution is to use a dark room transition, maybe that would work.
Also, Reshaper, do you realize that the graphics that exist in the rom are preset to use certain color indices? E.g. The red and blue octopi in dungeons have graphics such that they only use certain color indices. (0 through 7). If they were redrawn with more detail and inserted back into the rom, they could use indices 0 through 15. The catch is that you have to fill the second half of those rows in your picture with the necessary palette data. The other, less sinister catch is that graphics that use a full 15 colors will not compress very well. (Which is obviously why they used 8 color sprites, they needed room.) Probably hardly at all compared to the 3bpp versions. Also, if other graphics are already intent on using those colors, this creates a conflict for which sprite gets to use those colors. P.S. I think you should rename your palettes to SP-0 through SP-7 b/c it correlates better with most ways people program. |

| You could try going to a library or a school and registering there. Once you have the account you can pretty much use it anywhere as long as you can log in. Your request to get a new account on your mom's computer probably failed b/c to us it looks like the same IP Address. Meaning, they're on the same internet connection which is distributed by a router, but to us it all looks like the same computer. | |||

| He didn't single you out, he said "People in General," simply b/c his original statement "Americans blah blah blah" is incorrect in this context and probably in general anyways.
My opinion on the matter is that I don't want to date a fat girl. It does seem shallow but who wants a partner that won't take care of their body? Obviously there are some exceptions like certain medical conditions, but it's not like you can spot that on the street. It's also visually unappealing. As for skinny... no. I like boobs and if a girl is really skinny the chance of having decent breasts is pretty much out the window. Not to mention being really skinny is the other end of the spectrum of not taking care of your body. So I'd say to any girl who is concerned about her looks, that being skinny is not the goal, being in shape and having some degree of body mass is. But I also agree with Silvershield that girls are more vocal on this issue with the "media". Very few guys have the time or motivation to have a fully sculpted body like you would see in Abercrombie and Fitch catalogs. Does it affect us? Probably a little but we know that it's too much to hope for. |

| Virtual Console will not obsolete independent emulation simply because there is no way in hell they are going to be able to make the titles of every company available for the VC. There's too many companies to even begin doing this, and again reconsider that we're not even talking about emulating just one console. The SNES library is well over 1000 games, and the NES maybe double that, last I heard. |
