As I understand it, since the data is transferred in a serial fashion, it uses more cpu cycles than using an IDE cable. Aside from that I don't think there'd be a huge performance hit.

It may surprise some of you that people addicted to drugs like heroin and crack don't always look all fucked up like they do in the movies.

You're asking this of a movie where like 300 snakes end up smuggled onto a plane?

Spoiler:
while that is true, I think having goons so heavily infiltrated into the airport is a much more serious security breach than a knife. The harpoon gun is worrisome though...

The fact of the matter is that there are plenty other places to release a hack and have casual users discuss it. The Super Metroid redesign thread, while that is an awesome hack (hell I even did some minor contribution to the hack) is getting annoying since it doesn't really provide me with any further rom-hacking insight. In that sense, it really belongs in General Gaming at this point b/c all the posting has to do with players getting stuck at various points and in general just asking gameplay questions. If you look at Gamefaqs, most of the questions on the Super Metroid board right now are about Super Metroid Redesign. If they can't post here they will post somewhere else.

I don't really play Sonic Games.... what exactly is this "new feature"? Is it something like automatically seeking out and killing the closest enemy?

This still looks.... bad. One of the main problems is that the grey background is still very bright and it's also repetitive enough compared to the earthy foreground that it looks like the same graphics just with a different palette. I'd suggest going with something dark brown that isn't so repetitive (doesn't repeat every 16 pixels), or at least something that doesn't blend in so well with the foreground. And btw, Stifu's comment was well justified, if that's what you were complaining about. Constructive criticism doesn't HAVE to be friendly.

Any address in Lo-Rom that has the local part less than $8000 is mirrored to bank $7E. (This is a generalization, for our purposes, banks $00-$3F have their lower halves mirrored to bank $7E's lower half.

Anything else accesses ROM, unless it happens to be a RAM bank itself ($7E or $7F).

But that doesn't seem to suggest you are wrong in asking your question, b/c you probably pulled $0E:1234 out of your ass. So I'm guessing the local part of the address you're thinking of is $0E:XXXX where XXXX >= 0x8000. To change the data bank register you do the following:

SEP #$20 ; Accumulator is 8 bit.
LDA #$06
PHA ; pushes the value $06 onto the stack
PLB ; pulls ( / pops ) the value $06 off the stack into the Data Bank Register.

Though, if you want to use the Y register, I'd suggest looking at Long Indirect address mode with stuff like

LDA [$xx], Y

From browsing your other threads, I've noted that you practically copped an attitude with Tarale, a staff member. I would not advise things like this when you're trying to get approved to post on the forums you want to go to. All she was doing was helping you correct your posting habits a little so that maybe you can get approved soon. If you show us (and especially the staff) respect then they will respect you and if you meet the approval guidelines hopefully you'll be able to post your question on Pokemon hacking.

You'd figure it would come eventually but.... . My favorite episode of Conan O' Brien's late show was with Steve Erwin. He demonstrated how to ensnare a crocodile by using Conan as the example.

Something tells me he wasn't always briefed about what can happen to him with various animals. I mean, watch his older shows where he fucks around with snakes and he gets bit all the time.

Ehhhh... the iceman/pyro fight was pretty much a Dragonball Z knockoff. On the other hand, I really dig movies that involve telekinesis and with Jean Grey going ballistic I sure enjoyed it. I thought the other two movies dragged on too much, this one was just right. Much of the criticism directed at it I think is unwarranted. And it also had not one but two very tantalizing hints at the next movie. I'm already itching for another movie .

Spoiler:
If you kill the little kid (leech), you kill the source of the cure for mutation, which was what the "brotherhood" was opposed to in the first place. It was the one thing the US government had as a weapon against them.

Comment towards Kasdarack: If you count being DEAD as having to live w/o powers. And really, how many characters had to live without powers at the end of the movie? Rogue? That's about it as I recall, and with the teaser it would suggest she would at some point regain her powers again anyways.

That's a little uncalled for, Riku, considering the person in question is approved. Maybe you should grow up and stop trolling anyone you have even a remote dislike for.
