I really like their event queue:

"Events within the next 10 days..."
"Comet Impact!"

fucking duh.

I think you just ate someone from this board twice over...

Tuna and Ramen are two of Xkeeper's alternate names.

Um... looks fine to me. But it would be nice if you didn't have to reload the page to get the effect. I know that when you view an xml document you can do it without reloading the page. I don't know how hard that is in a forum environment like this.

3. I'd wait until 00:00:00.01 and then stop it, pull out a megaphone, and say "SORRY, FALSE ALARM" and laugh maniacally (and then plan it for another day later on)

So you'd give people a whole hundredth of a second of relief? That's generous I'd say.

Question: why is your nick sometimes Tuna?

Well if you had a scheduled event feature on this board perhaps you would have remembered to do it in time.

Um... it works the same in Seamonkey and IE. Anyways, you know what a tree view control looks like in windows apps? It expands and contracts at the push of a button. But in this case, I'm clicking a link that reloads the page so it can rerender the new layout. I'm merely bringing it up b/c I've seen it handled on the fly, without reloading the page while viewing xml files. But that might be a particularity of how browsers handle xml files.

That really depends. If you view it as the forums current state, then it's fine.

If you view it as the action to be taken, then it's totally wrong. *shrug*

Yeah... you need to learn that skill from FF Tactics for monks... Hamedo. I actually e-mailed Squaresoft about whether that was a real Japanese word. They said it was a shortened, localized version of Hame-doru, and offered like 5 explanations as to what it could actually be. They said it might be a reference to Muhammad Ali. Or a reference to a hammer. but the first half was in Katakana, which means it's certainly not a Japanese verb.

In spite of that, you need learn the skill.

run msconfig and look at all the applications that are auto running when your computer starts up. Uncheck pretty much all applications other the ones that are necessary for your computer to function. I sped up my friend's computer by about 20 fold (windows xp pro) by doing this. Programs that are put into memory at startup seem to slow down win xp like no other, even if you quit them and attempt to free up that memory.

edit: I'd also suggest not having any anti virus programs running at all times. Use them to scan periodically, also make sure these are removed from your automatically loaded programs at startup.

This is all well and good, and maybe enlightening. However, I will feel like a total idiot using prefixes like this if I ever start using them in speech with other programmers. kee bee bytes, gi bee bytes, .... ex bee bytes.... sounds made up like baby speak, not like a standard.

The fact is simple Davros, you are a witch and need to be burned at the stake. Stop practicing the dark arts of web foruming.
