I wasn't trying to imply that he was using a good debate tactic, I was trying to encourage people to know who some of the big scholars/pundits are out there.

Although I might add, someone with a truly open mind would do well to look up the things their opponents mention in debate. Even if they won't extend you that courtesy at least you have seen where they are coming from.

How about you all stop complaining about Alastor and actually get some taste? The only even decent looking pic in the bunch is the lower right one, and it's mostly negated by all the poorly done blood.

There have been a number of changes to the game's engine... you'll just have to wait and see what they are. While it's good to generate hype, I'm sure Drewseph doesn't want to reveal too much. Hell, I had ample opportunity to beta test this but I held off so I could experience it myself as though it were new to me. I'm looking forward to it, as I had a small hand in creating it.

I won't be able to play it until next tuesday anyways.

However, I haven't really found a need for those sorts of tutorials - Martin's GBATEK has all the info you'll need on the ARM7TDMI.

interdpth: This was the link I lost and was looking for. I honestly don't think you'd need anything else. It's like a very condensed version of all the pdfs I've read on the matter, just with all the info in one place. This is the kind of thing you might as well download.

Mapping the rom into code and data is easy. Many debuggers already do it. It's knowing how it all works together so that it is reassembled that is hard. It's mostly proportional to the amount of indirection your processor is capable of. The more you can hide your program's execution through memory, the harder it is to know the exact structure of the program.

No, I used the &_#XXX; escape characters to directly write them using ascii. XXX is an 8bit decimal value, and remove the underscore to use them. I just used the ascii values for the appropriate characters.

edit: You have to submit directly. If you preview, it will convert them in the preview page, and then the filter will apply. Just preview to check, then hit back in your browser and submit when it's ready.

Even though Colin is mellow as hell, I doubt you're the only one thinking that.

Not to sound ... disapproving of organized religion but of course priests are going to ask for more money. That's what they live off of, isn't it? Gotta be a nice gig . And you wonder why we have things like Scientology.

I.... live in Indiana. If I heard about it literally every day I'd be kind of uneasy. It seems much more likely to hear about an old lady getting robbed and killed, or a drive by shooting, and i don't even live in that big of a city.

That would be quite a specialized project and I don't see the point really. You're basically saying you want an emulator that can download roms itself. Or something to do netplay with, which is already in emulators.

Let's just say I'm waiting until the day I can access the internet with my brain, and program and other tasks, etc. If I could do all that while taking a walk, that would be the shit. All of a sudden you'd have nonpale computer nerds.... who would be running into people and crashing into various objects.

^Question1: Do you know how to walljump in the original Super Metroid?

If not, I suggest you go back and play that. if so....

Question2: Do you have the walljump boots?

If not, go get them b/c you can't wall jump at all without them. If so....

Question3: Have you considered that the surfaces you're trying to wall jump on are not compatible with wall jumping? Smooth metal pipes, certain types of terrain, etc have been redesigned not to work with this move.

I believe the best kind of love is unspoken. I think saying "I love you" is almost always someone reaching for security. I've had girls tell they loved me, and it was the most frustrating thing in the world not being able to say it back. But I stick to my principles. (Of course, if I felt that way too I would say it back, but I'd prefer not to have to, if you know what I mean.)
