The sarcasm was about the statement "I need to chill out."
Regarding not wanting to see Brokeback Mountain b/c of a gay sex scene: Would it be any different if it were a lesbian sex scene? Somehow I think your opinion would change. I'm a straight male who doesn't have a problem with people being homosexual. Do I want to see that scene? Hell no! Will I watch that movie? Maybe, as long as I have a fast forward function. I watched Mulholland Drive and it has two Lesbian scenes - I don't see anyone bitching about that. Double standard if I do say so. Skyon: You need to make more sense buddy. I can hardly make out what you're trying to say most of the time. It's difficult to debate with someone if you can't read their sentences. Go back and make sure it all makes sense before you hit "submit reply" |

That, in turn, makes us enemies, Alastor! Draw your sword! *hands flare with Etheral energy* Uh-oh, that's a BIG sword... *soils white, loose clothes*
I dunno... Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow? I don't ever step into the simbattle so I'm thinking it's something from there if I'm wrong. Soma has white loose fitting clothing, and there is an enemy with a giant 3D sword called Alastor. |

Just out of curiosity does anybody know if the emulation for N64 used to port OoT to the Gamecube works with other games? Has anybody in the emulation community looked into that?

Well meh... I got bored and whipped up a patch that is equivalent. The labels I use are pretty generic and xkas could use a .label labels but I'm not sure if those are features of other assemblers so I just jused label: labels. Let me know if I transcribed something incorrectly.
edit: whooops . Don't try to use org $1F0000... use $1F8000 or something. Either way I just patched and it seems to work. I also noticed that using shells and such will destroy turn blocks whether you are super mario or just mario. Also, it's annoying that the palette still changes when they are bumped. At first I thought the patch didn't work. Then I realized it was the palette swap that was playing tricks on my eyes. (edited by MathOnNapkins on 04-09-06 08:16 AM) |

I would say that the giant goomba statue looks funny... and the overall style of the graphics is a bit too um... cartoony (i.e. outlined) for me. But it's definitely a start. Your pillars look very plain, and ancient Greek pillars looked quite a bit more detailed than that from what I've seen. Things like swirls near the base and the top. Things like the shape of them being tapered a bit. I don't know the architecht terms for those, so I hope you know what I mean.

If you see your sword clash with another you'll adjust. And who knows, maybe they'll have a rumble feature as well. I also don't imagine that the sword fighting will be anything like normal fighting. I mean, the receiver just guages position, not distance. So movements aren't as fast or nuanced as real life. |

Pretty sure that is answered in this guide:
http://www.kestrelmuppets.plus.com/conrad/ns/PGTZ3E13.pdf Not sure if zcompress works on WinXP, but try hitting Windows-R, then type in cmd or command. i think it's cmd for WinXP. That brings up the DOS command line. Navigate to the folder that zcompress is in, and follow the instructions in the guide. |

Or rather, I made you realize that your computer is probably not in the best working condition or plain sucks. I mean, it should be able to handle two ytmnds at the same time. If not... then I feel bad for your computer.

I would imagine since they are copyrighted works they are just as illegal to download. But then again if you have the music, you more then likely have the rom. Stealing the same thing twice (the music engine/data) is irrelevant and is such a small portion of the game itself that I think companies just let it slide. I also think there's much less demand for music files versus actual rom images. So less demand = less attention from authorities.

Yeah well the game companies still have rights to the music. Just think about all the RPGs that have had OSTs released. That's a cut of the profits, albeit a small one.

Not as of yet but you can modify the music to some degree with Hyrule Magic. I mean it is possible... but I haven't figured out the specifics on it yet. And it also depends on what you mean by soundfile. If you mean mp3 or wav or midi, then no. If you mean .spc, then no, so don't get your hopes too high.

If you mean mp3 or wav or midi, then no.
I thought I was pretty clear. No. And there's not likely to be one, simply due to how hard it would be to convert it to a format that the SNES can play, let alone Zelda 3. |

A lot of people use text messaging on their phones. In that case theyre justified since typing correctly is a pain on a cellphone. Id say it probably encourages some people to type like that online. Hence your going to see it unless it is formally discouraged by the forum (which its here). (edited by Ailure on 04-11-06 03:15 AM) |

I don't usually visit the Modern Art forum, but I'm happy I chanced upon your thread. I'd have to say I really like these sprites. They have good shading (certainly not amateur shading like I would do). I also like that the graphics show off diverse character traits. The girl looks shy and innocent, the white haired guy looks tense and reserved, and the red haired guy with the belt looks like a straightforward, frank, and confident person.
I will say this though, the red guy's belt has too little contrast. It just looks like a big white hold in his abdomen to me due to the light brown outline of the buckle. Perhaps you can find a way to shade it so it is more clear that it is a buckle. You might even eliminate the outline and fill in other details there. Same thing goes for the white haired guy, it looks like he's wearing a metal armored speedo based on how he's standing. It doesn't help that his shirt is white, which matches the buckle. The girl.... I can't tell if she's wearing a dress but again it looks like a giant white vacuum in her abdomen. I'm not sure what kind of look you were going for but it needs a little less contrast so we can tell what it is. It almost looks like her legs are a big green doughnut. edit: well I noticed she may be doing a curtsy (sp?) but I think the white is ill advised. Use a light shade of green if that's what you intended to portray. (edited by MathOnNapkins on 04-11-06 08:40 AM) |

Do people like this count as a race? B/c if so, that's racist, Dei. Racist. Oh and shouldn't you be studying for that test rather than ranting about les apostrophes? And does anybody wonder why we don't just have plain old strophes?
This board now needs a filter that takes puncutation marks in a submitted post and randomly places them elsewhere in the post. |
