How or where can I download an acmlmboard? Please don't flame me for this. I am in a hurry and don't want to Google it or whatever. I tried http://board.acmlm.org/download and that doesn't work.

Hey, I'm KPhoenix.
...I'm having a hard time coming up with something clever to say.

Well I want to be approved so I can get some help in SMW hacking, because not many of the people at SMW Central are all that experienced as much as the people here.
I have knowledge of hex editing, ExGFX, IPS patch making, and some other stuff.

...Uh... So.. yeah....

Please approve me.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to say what I would contribute.
I can/will/would help out SMW hacker less experienced than me with nearly anthing except for ASM related things. I have also written a Hex Tutorial and submitted it to SMW Central. SMW Central - Documents It's near the bottom.

Request: A Super Mario Bros 3 Breakable Brick that turns into a non-moving coin when a Blue POW is hit.

I'm not sure if there is already one out. If so, please give me a link to where I can get it.

Yes, I would like to do that, but I have no clue how to rip custom blocks from a hack.

EDIT: Wait, theres already a download for it right?
I'm an idiot.

Well I got the block now.

This is getting really frustrating. I have all the original SMW OW graphics and palettes.

What I'm trying to do is rip some GFX from another hack that uses different palettes.

It is some of the SMB3 tiles like the Toad house and the START tile. My SMW palettes do not match up to it.

I really don't want to have to go in YYCHR and redraw the GFX by rearanging what color each pixel will use (you know what I mean, right?), and besides, I can't do that because It doesn't load the full SMW palette, therefore, I can't know for sure that I'm getting the colors right.

I don't want to completely change the palettes for the whole hack, because I am keeping a large percentage of the original SMW OW graphics.

As you can see, there are some SMAS GFX there. (Note: I already tried messing with the water's GFX) If I change the palettes to what set they belong with, I get this:

Can somebody tell me an easier way to solve this problem?

Note: I'm using the SMAS GFX hack made by... Pac ... and I'm using the SMAS GFX from the 2 year old beta of SMB3DX... also started by Pac. I'm not stealing them, I'm borrowing them.

Yes I know what the Custom Palette is. That's not what the problem is. I already explained it, you just misread it I guess.

About the SMAS GFX hack, I'm not going to get into that because Pac doesn't want people using it anymore. ( I hope he's not mad at me for this )

And pikaguy900, please stop treating me like a n00b.

If it was a readme for YY-CHR, I wasn't really using YY-CHR, I just like to say that. I used TLP, as you can see in my screenshots. I actually didn't think of using a zsnes savestate, probably because of the fact that everytime I do, TLP just gives me a garbage palette. I will be sure to use YY-CHR from now on.

For ripping SMAS GFX and putting them straight into your bin files, I would recommend Tile Layer Pro because you are able to have the SMAS rom and the bin file open at the same time, and you can just click and hold on a tile, the bring it over the the bin, and then let go.
I'm not sure if you already know this, but I'm just saying it because not many people use TLP and know it's advantages.

*Screams Insanely*

Whyyy isn't this working?!?!?

pikaguy900, I guess we're on the same boat.

I choose a palette from the zsnes savestate, redraw the graphic, then it turns out I'm not able to select that palette for the 8x8 OW tiles.

For my problem, I want to keep the SMW Landscaping because SMB3 didn't have elevation. I'm trying to put those tiles in (SMB3), but right now, I'm redrawing the tiles with the SMW palette. The problem is that I'm restricted to palettes 1-7, and I have no clue which palettes are 1-7 on the zsnes savestate.

Okay, this is what I did.

I had the zsnes savestate, and the SMW palette, untouched. I loaded the savestate and the bin file.

I scrolled down to the palette (shown in my above screenshot), and clicked the palette colors on the farthest bar up, and drew over what was there in the SMAS tile using the colors available. I did not click down in the lower part, which changes the dispaly colors, (I'm pretty sure).

I wish I knew what colors in the palettes I could change without changing the palette of other remaining things on the overworld. (Unused colors)

Please excuse my lack of common sense. I have a tendency of not realizing things when the answers are right in front of me. Sorry.

I solved my problem...finally. For the SMB3 OW lock thing, I used palette 2, and for the Bonus Spade game tile, I used palette 4.
