I'm a laser tag guy myself. I play at a place called Laser Quest. The style I play involves a lot of dancing and dodging as opposed to the hide and seek variety of laser tag.

From everything I've seen and read, scientology should be avoided at all costs. Must be nice to have the tax exempt status though.

You think Microsoft would have learned their lesson with XP being such a resource hog. Heh, they probably just have a big stake in hardware and the increased operating requirements just means that people keep having to buy new computers. The self-perpetuating business model.

In Florida we don't need to tamper with the ballots. Apparently rudimentirary knoledge of Microsoft Access is all you need to program the ballots to go your way. I have no faith in the political system.

Wii for me.

I typically wait to buy system when they are cheap, but I will probably make an exception for the wii.

360: The only game I'm interested in for that is Halo 3. Doesn't justify the cost, although I may consider it if I find some other games.

PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4. See 360. Not only that, but the cost is prohibitive. You can get a 360 and a Wii for the price. Plus it won't be available to just walk in and buy most likely until end of first quarter 2007.

Thanks for the warning. I'll wait for a price drop on that. See if I can pick it up used or something.

Revolver Ocelot is one of my favorite villians. I love how they were able to work him into Snake Eater.

I have a feeling the Reds are going to somehow blow the NL Wildcard. I couldn't tell you who will take it. The NL is very meidiocre this year. We could see a 85-87 win team take it. I won't care too much, as long as Atlanta doesn't make it. 10+ years of winning the division and only one title to show for it. Move over and give someone else a turn.

No one uses common sense anymore. There is no way the suits at CBS would have approved of what Timberlake did. I wasn't even aware that they hadn't paid the fine yet. Not surprised that it's taking this long though.

Super Metroid.

The sheer number of ways you can complete the game make it incredible. The Brinstar music is awesome as well. I could go on for hours....

I never really understood the concept of heaven, hell, purgatory, etc. I know that when I die I don't want to have to worship anything for eternity. If there actually is a hell, and good people go there, my guess is that the devil dragged them there against "God's" will.

I doubt I would die for my beliefs. The only thing I would be willing to die for is to save a loved one or a large amount of people I don't know. I would probably think differently though if I grew up in such a volitale region as the MIddle East.

Dying for taxes and dying for freedom are definitely two different ball games.

In my mind it would be a lot easier for me to die for freedom than for taxes. However, dying is not something that I'm very fond of given its permanent status. I know that if I were to die for either, it would not be a spur of the moment decision as I tend to err on the side of caution.

I've thought similar things, particularly hell. If for some odd reason I wound up there and I was able to control my actions, I would probably try to take it over. If you're going to be going through eternal suffering, you may as well irritate others while you're at it.

Posted on 08-02-06 12:06 PM, in Terrorism = Freedom? Link
The masses are easily minipulated in the US unfortunately. People tend to see things in black and white when really almost everything can be seen in some shade of grey. The "you're either with us, or you're with the terrorists" is the perfect example. People aren't given a 3rd or 4th viable option.

I would love to be a fly on the wall whenever the President was having his Iraq invasion meetings. Knowing the exact motivation behind it would be deliciously entertaining, I think.

And although I don't believe this is true, for all we know the invasion of Iraq was necessary to protect American interests, not necessarily preventing terrorist attacks.

Also, terrorism is not freedom. Using terrorism to gain freedom is just a means to an end. A bloody end.

I have faith that XII will be good. X might not have been good by Final Fantasy standards, but its still a good game. We're not anywhere near Superman 64 levels yet..

Hardly devestating news unless you're one of the cab drivers who took home an extra $500-700 in pay for E3. If this translates into games with better gameplay, I'm all for it. I'm not holding my breath though.
