GTA: San Andreas: Car wrecking with gunshots. I fire a shot at a certain part of the highway (there's a part where they drivers often wreck anyway) and see how big a wreck comes from it. I also have to try not to get run over, and watch out in case one car gets too banged up and explodes, not to mention making sure NOT to hit a gas tank...

Goldeneye: "Okay, you go get the RCP90. I'll just kill you with my DD44." I <3 Pistols. And mines and grenades, but that's not rare; everyone loves a good explosion. My ideal weapon setup in multiplayerwould be Silenced PP7, Hand Grenades, Remote Mines, and Proximity Mines. Shame you can't make your own weapon sets.

Red font on brown BG = Non-Good. I refer, of course, to the overworld pic. I'm also not sure how well the Sonic graphics fit, but it could work better than I expect. Your overworld doesn't look bad, although the paths are a bit too straight (noticed how every world in SMW had some curved paths? Yeah.).

Level-wise, you only showed one screenshot. It doesn't look too bad, and although it appears easy at least you didn't neglect the enemies.

Like Hiryuu, I was thinking Chaotic Good, and like Hiryuu, I got Neutral Good. Although it's worth pointing out that I was only 2% away from Neutral, and 1% away from Chaotic.

It's all about the games. And we can't judge until the games are released.

So, I'm not choosing. I'm just gonna wait and see...

I'd think most people would have the sense to just run away when a shotgun's pulled out. And for those who don't, consider it "aiding natural selection".

But yeah, on a serious note, I don't like this. Don't be a fucking wimp about unwanted loiterers. Get a weapon and scare them away, if htat's legal where you live. And if not, I'm sure the police would do something. There's no need to stupidly resort to something that would drive away potential customers and non-troublemakers as well as the ones you seek to get rid of.

Wow. Ignorance never goes out of style.

In other words, Bookworm, I would strongly suggest backing off on the anti-Wicca comments (specifically, it having been defined, "luzi's mark") before you have an angry mod on your case - offending one normal user is bad. Offending one staff member is worse. Very unintelligent.

Now then, on the subject at hand...

Both of my parents are Wiccan, and my grandmother is a very open-minded Christian. I'd love to say I didn't have religion forced on me, but for a while I lived with my other, less-openminded grandmother. Figure it out for yourself.

I suppose I once believed in the existence of a god, but... now, well, my current views of religion are quite likely to offend people, so I'll just leave that alone. I believe that no god exists and that this life is all we know we have. I believe there are no absolute right and wrong (because again, no god), but there are certain things that most people can accept as being wrong (like murder). That should be all I need to explain, really.

Offtopic (or is it?): Hey, Kins, you still doing those bad romhack reviews?

Those pallettes aren't just a little too bright. It's 2 AM, and I think they're waking my parents up two rooms over. And your overworld? Boring me to sleep. (but I could use the sleep anyway)

Plus which, your levels look flat and generic.

That was spam. Spam is bad. Do not spam. Or we feed you to the spam gremlins. It's a very unpleasant process involving tying you up so you can't resist and watching the gremlins eat you alive, but it does get rid of the spammers.

Sooo, anyway. My experiences with store-bought chicken nuggets and chicken patties have been rather plain and flavorless for the most part, and so we usually stick with fish. But if I get a chance, I'll keep Cy's suggestion in mind...

Posted on 12-02-05 04:19 PM, in Good Levels Link
Waaay back when I was attempting an SMB3 hack making new levels from scratch... well, I hit some saving bug in M3I (this was before SMB3 Workshop was even started on) and my progress on the first level was lost. Took me about a week or so for that one level, and that's with an idea in mind. Later on, I tried again, took a day or two to come up with a level design and start making it (ideas first, creation later), and though I ran into a pretty bad bug (level wouldn't load in SMB3! ), I'd say I had done a good job on it... other than that minor detail.

So, if in SMB3, which has smaller levels and less enemies and stuff to work with, it takes me at least two days... I figure it should take most SMW hackers longer. Some people do good work fast - haven't seen any here, but if it's true for other things it should be here too - but most people need to slow down, realize that their hack should take a few months to finish if it is to come out good, and have a bit of patience. You can't hack a game very well in a day.

Before we begin, I'm an atheist, so not only might it seem unusual that I still stubbornly call it a Christmas tree, I may possibly be missing or incorrect about a few details - if I am, please inform me of this.

And as for Christmas, surely they don't mean that its value and worth is contingent on its being placed superior to holidays that aren't Christmas, are they?

Do any other Winter holidays involve decorated trees? None I know of. Yet the tree is supposed to include those... why, exactly?

Originally posted by the same guy
even devout Atheists celebrate it as a secular holiday of family and gift-giving, and certainly commercial types will wring every last drop of blood from it, like they do.

For the first one, you're almost right. But, it just so happens that most of us have largely Christian families, and if we're going to set aside one day to family togetherness and gift-giving, it may as well be one that the rest of them already have. Additionally, this does not undermine the significance of the holiday to Christians, and I see it therefore as quite irrelevant - the day is still more important to them than to *insert non-Christian group here*. Secondly, that's business, any chance they get to squeeze more money out of you is one that they'll jump on. They don't care that it's a holiday, however, and therefore the relvance of that to the Christmas/Holiday Tree situation is completely nonexistant.

Originally posted by , yep, him again
These days, its significance to Christianity is such a minor thing compared to its significance to all. Thus it's not Christianity-specific anymore, and so its tree ought not be named as such.

Waitwaitwait. You're telling me that because non-Christians may participate in this holiday and businesses may exploit it, it's no longer significant to Christians? Riiight. That makes sense, doesn't it?

Wait, no it doesn't.

Actually, I think you're on the right track with this...

Originally posted by yes, I do know your name, I'm just not used to typing two X's in one sitting
Of course, if the tree, by any name, is inherently linked to Christianity, then perhaps another course of action that does not place one religion above all others would be to not display the tree in a public place (i.e. with the blessing, if not at the direction, of the government which is supposed to represent everyone, not just Christians) at all
