To be honest, Shyguy, I don't know why it bothers you so much.

When I see someone with such overwhelming ignorance, stupidity, and... lost my train of thought there, but when I see someone like Jack, I see something that both reminds me of why I dislike a lot of people and gives me quite a few laughs, too. I just focus on the laughs. Try that.

World Layout: The SMRPG layout makes travelling amongst various areas late in the game a lot easier. If you don't plan on making a bunch of shortcuts, go with that.

Graphics: I'd suggest making custom graphics inspired by the various original styles, that way they all go reasonably well together (because you made all of them, so they should have a rather similar style) and there's also plenty of variety as well as references to the older games. If you'd rather not go through that (because that would really be a lot of work), I'd say that the SMAS versions of SMB3 and SMB could work together, if used properly

Antagonist: Well, you can't go wrong with a spiked turtle that breathes fire. Bowser's done some pretty strange shit (uprooting Peach's Castle in Paper Mario for example), so try to come up with some similarly bizzarre plan of his that actually works for a bit.

I wonder how many people actually made their own avatars instead of grabbing images off the internet. I bring this up because an avatar someone made for themself seems more likely to represent their personality than some random image they found off the internet.

Example: Dracoon makes a comment to the effect of "the unborn child is not yet human" (not those words, but that approximate meaning). Silvershield counters with
The baby doesn't have "potential" to become a human being, it is a human being. It has the potential to grow into an adult, perhaps, but its status as a human is not potential but actual.


And it repeats. I've seen it at least twice just for that one example, IIRC. And the irritating part is that Silvershield already knows about the source of this problem, yet is doing nothing to try to debate something differently.

Like Tarale said, the second one lost a lot of the detail because of the darkness. It still looks pretty good, but that's a pretty big problem.

Also, I second the Shy Guy. My idea's sort of similar to the above, giving the Shy Guy the ability to turn into different varieties of Shy Guys from the Mario games. He'd start a battle normal, with a Slingshot attack and a Fly Guy transformation initially. As he levels up, he'd gain Medi Guy and Spy Guy (the one that hid in the bushes in SMW2). He'd start every battle normal, and if he was switched into a battle he would also be normal (even if he had been changed before). Switching to another form takes two turns: One to revert, and one to change again.

Shy Guy:
Slingshot (basic attack, ranged, timed hit is Aiming, like Parakarry's Shell Shot))
Fly Guy (2 FP) (Transformation)
Spy Guy (3 FP Super Rank) (Transformation)
Dizzy Shot (3 FP, Super Rank) (Makes enemy dizzy if you hit the Action Command. No damage.)
Medi Guy (3 FP, Ultra rank) (Transformation)
Blast Shot (4 FP, Ultra Rank) (If you hit the action command, hits all enemies. If you miss, hits Mario and Shy Guy)

Fly Guy:
Dive (Jump-style attack, contact - triggers Spike, Fire, Jump timed hit)
Revert (0 FP) (Turns back into a normal Shy Guy)
Propeller Charge (3 FP) (Super Rank. Charges like Kooper's Fire Shell. Hits all enemies on the ground, triggers front spikes (like Spear Guys on Yoshi's Island) and fire)
Shy Swarm (4 FP) (Ultra Rank. Calls for a Fly Guy air raid. Action command is Lakilester's Spiny Storm)

Spy Guy
Slingshot
Revert
Camoflauge (3 FP. Makes Mario and Spy Guy invisible for a turn, like Bow's Outta Sight)
Spy (3 FP) (Ultra Rank. Lower's an enemy's Defense by 1 by checking for a weak point. Lasts up to 5 turns.Don't know what action command to use.)

Medi Guy
Bump (Rams the enemy with his hovering... thing. You remember these guys from PM, right? Note: Medi Guy's Attack power is one lower than Shy Guy's other forms)
Revert
Heal (3 FP) (Heals some HP. Five? Six?)
Medi Car (5 FP) (Gives Mario a hovering vehicle identical to Medi Guy's. However, Mario's boosts his defnese. Action Command is the same as Watt's Power Charge.)


That's just an idea, people, don't flame me if he seems too strong.
