I'm not quite as fond of the game as most people, but maybe it's just because it's giving me some trouble in one of the levels. Metallic Mayhem, or something like that...

Quite fun when you got the one that randomly changed the music.

I abused the Item Duplication Trick all the time for my TMs. I wasn't so lame as to abuse it for Master Balls (erm... usually... I'd sometimes get them just for the Birds and Mewtwo, but I never used them against other people) or Nuggets, but yeah, I'd dupe TMs. Even stumbled on a way to de-glitchify the number of items duplicated.

No, because it's not real, so it doesn't go in romhacking.

As for the fake screenshot. You've got a few problems. The text on the bottom's too close to the left edge, and the item in the item block should probably be superimposed on the ? block instead of above it, as I've seen in other editors.

There's probably more, but between the fact that it's been a long time since I've dealt with SMB3 editing and the fact that I have very little Mac experience, I can't find it right now.

Yeah, I remember finding a little trick with the numbers too. Sometimes it would say 09 when you really have >100... just go to throw them out. It'd say 09 if you have 9, and ' 9' (with a space) if you have >100. Then you can cancel.


Nah, the one I went with was simpler. Deposit one into the PC, then deposit the rest. It seperates them into two stacks, each of which uses non-glitched numbers. Stumbled across that on accident when I was trying to store 139 Blizzard TMs...

Yeah. I also duplicated... well, pretty much any TM that was one-of-a-kind except shitty ones like Water Gun and Bide. I just keep thinking that the one that I stumbled on that trick with was Blizzard for some reason... maybe Ice Beam or FIre Blast, though.

To be fair, they can be used to make the game harder, or just plain different (Hard Mode code in FFT giving all enemies mastery of all jobs, and in the same game it can be used for entirely custom classes). But yeah, they're usually used for cheating.

And Gamesharks are never the most durable things... even a sealed one could potentially be damaged horribly. =/

Well, sorry if I think that this is one of the most obvious trick questions I've seen so far. Either the obvious answer - the professor - is wrong and you're seeing who picks the obvious and is wrong, or the obvious answer is right and you're seeing how many people think it's a trick question, thus essentially turning it into one by throwing such an unlikely answer in.

Did I confuse anyone there?

The green ones, Yoshi and Luigi. There's not much in the way of character development in any of the games, so I gotta go with other things - in this case, green's my second favorite color (blue's favorite, the only blue things are some Koopa Troopas and a Yoshi =/), so Luigi and Yoshi win.
