I wanted to open this thread in the old (new) board about a week ago, but alas, it didn't happen, so I'll do it now.

What I mean, do not just post which languages you speak, but lets define a standard sentence, wich everyone says and records, uploads that audio file and lets us listen.

It also serves to learn new dialects from all over the world, and for foreing speakers, also include the same sentence in your native tounge ( I would have to)

I would like to have a sentence ready, but wich english sentance would fit this community AND is translatable in other languages. (Live the fun posting experience sure isn't.)

Any recommodations?

There are some good sentences here, I'll accept Submissions till AM 6:30 GMT+1 (ie. Middle European Time, -6 hours from the Acmlm-Server).

Then I'll start a Poll with all the given sentences.

As stated in my Voices, Languages and Tounges-Thread, I'm searching for an easy translatable and speakable sentence to listen to the single dialekts of the acmlmboard members.

Here you can choose one or more of the sentences, you think work best for this purpose.

If you have another Idea, you may also post it, but it's more likely that it won't be choosen, but may serve as an indicator that the other sentences are crap.

The first option will NOT be choosen as the sentence later used, its more like a savekeep and nostalgia.

View it as a test, if you will.

Working at McDonalds at the moment, before working at a local Gamestore chain (PC Joy, now EB Games).

We all know that here on Acmlm's are many users from many different countries and alas play alot of different languages, and even speak english in different accents.

This threads point of existens to provide the users the possibility to show the others how thei, and thei'r language sounds like.

In general, if your an English speacker, record the following sentence and upload an mp3 or ogg of it somewhere and link to it here.
For foreign language speakers, like myself, record the sentence once in english and once in your own tounge, and if you wish, make to records of your tounge, one for the local, and one for the national. (Like German and Swissgerman).

The Sentence:
Hello. I'm [name] from [country]. This is my contribution to the "Voices, Languages and Tounges" thread on Acmlm's Board.

So, record your voice and link to it.

I will link to all files here in the first post, with username and language.

You should print at least in a resolution of 600 DPI, else it wont work.

If your Printer supports that, beatifull, if not, forget it, not gonna happen.

Welcome on Acmlm's. (I'm Imoto on Pocketheaven's).

@insectduel: You don0t need DLLs to run it on a emulator, and if you need an utillity to sort your roms, search for goodNES. Else test your PocketNES with No$GMB or VBA, or just run it on the real thing (GBA).

SDM:TLC is a great new game, and BMF's Mario Oddysey is great too.

For NES-Hacks I'm going with Mario VS. Luigi from DD.

Never played any other Hacks much. But those are top notch.

Is that US Dollars? Or Dollar Swiss Franc? $14.8 and hour is a fuckload for mcDonalds here. Virtually unheard of unless you were a shift manager or higher up.

Myself, I work as a sandwich delivery driver for a Jimmy John's. I make $6.50 + tips. Though I'm getting a raise soon to $7.50 and they're putting me on as a Manager for weekend nights.


The second is the amountin USD, but earned in switzerland.
