That ripper is very outdated. So is the guide someone else posted. Use GCOM 2.4 instead. http://www.tehskeen.com/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=808
It rips discs way faster. I ripped plenty of discs with it, and not a single ISO was corrupt. |

There are no programs to rip Gamecube discs with a regular PC drive.

Either your friends just showed the PC version of Halo or they just put a PS2 and an Xbox in a PC case.
The Gamecube drive is NOTHING like a normal PC DVD drive. Getting it to work with a PC would require a TON of research and reverse engineering. You also need a device that converts the signals coming from the PC to something what the drive understands and vice versa. You'd also have to write drivers for the drive. In other words, just forget about it and just buy all the equipment. Also, PSO is just one way to run homebrew. There are plenty of others. |

The Dreamcast is capable of booting burned discs, but only if they're selfbootable. You either have to make them selfbootable before burning, or use a boot disc that makes the DC accept non-selfbootable discs.

Hello! I'm Sintendo.
I am a Gamecube Action Replay code hacker. I have hacked a lot of codes for Pikmin 2 (PAL) and some other games (check www.arcentral.net for codes, including mine). I haven't done a lot of ROM hacking yet (found palettes in Sonic Battle), but I am familiar with the concept. I'm planning to try to learn how to program sometime, and maybe make an editor for a game after that. |
