Don't listen to them legoman. I think it's great that somebody as new as you has completed a hack. It's clear that you've been getting a lot better over the past few months, and I want to see what you can come up with in the future when you get to be as good as those who are insulting you *coughicemancough*.
Just don't get discouraged by a few moronic posts. Keep trying, and I'm sure SMDM2 will be far better. |

Originally posted by Havik No, you don't get it. I can't stand n00bs. Newbies are a completely different thing. And if I may quote Sukasa on this: "newbies are those people like Kaileann who come and actually try to learn for themselves ("I'm trying this, but it isn't working, could someone help me find out what i'm doing wrong..."), instead of saying "DU TIS FUR MEEEEE!" or whatever." It's people like mariofan05, Godwar, and Uzi that I can't stand, because they're just hopeless. At least legoman is actually trying. |

I'll fix it myself anyway. EDIT: Zachio, if it's not complete, if you don't have a demo, or if you don't even have screenshots, don't post it at all. I'm surprised that nobody has pointed this out yet, and that Ghettoyouth made this mistake in the first place: During the game, the red and blue on Mario's shirt and overalls are inverted, but they aren't on the title screen. Then again, Nintendo made the same mistake in SMAS-SMB2.

Yesterday I decided to play though these two hacks again because I was bored. Not only did I see many opportunites to improve stuff, but I noticed quite a few glitches in both games. So I decided that I would make another version of each, just to clear out the remaining bugs, and to make minor improvements where possible.
So, that's where you guys come in. I doubt that I found all of the bugs, so I'd like if people could post about any bugs/glitches that they found. Thanks. |

This is because FuSoYa used a custom Koopa Troopa (with the Santa Hat), and part of it's hat overwrote a blank 8x8 tile, which is used to the left of the 10 points tile, when Mario collects 10 points. And what gives Mario 10 points? Collecting a coin from a ? Block. But I want to find another way around having a piece of a hat appearing in the air (yes, i'm using his koopa troopas) after Mario hits a ? Block rather than just not using coin-?-blocks at all. I'm assuming it's as easy as just changing one byte in hex to move the tile, but I don't know which one, so can anybody help?
EDIT: Just to clarify, it's the blank 10- point tile i want to move, not the koopa troopa head. (edited by peter_ac on 01-16-06 10:42 AM) |

No, YY-Chr palettes are for YY-Chr's display only. If you want palettes in LM, you have to make them in LM, or rip them from a ZSNES savestate.

Okay legoman, Pac Man Adventure and SMW5 have been removed. So... you're not making any more SMW hacks?
update: fixed a few links, added a few new title screen pics. |
