I always thought this sounded like one of these squeaky rubber ducks, but broken or something.
I haven't ever liked this sound in particular, and have also never used it in the songs I've "composed" years ago. |

First spammy reply in pointless milestone thread
I already noticed the thread IDs going up close to 10000 the last days, so, yay, I guess. Does something special happen now? ![]() |

| I'm going with the opinion of others: loud, annoying and as far away from the bed as possible.
I used to (ab)use my computer as an alarm clock (using a mIRC timer ), but I'm not leaving my computer powered on during night anymore, so I switched to a "real" alarm clock.
It's currently standing on my desk, which is on the other side of the room, so I have to stand up and go to it to turn it off. While I do that, I fall over numerous things that are in the way, like my shoes or my chair (or a cat, sometimes). It's not great, but it helps me a bit waking up.
Here is the sound it makes, and it is pretty loud. I can't stand it. (I suggest turning the volume down if you're using headphones or something. I warned you, just in case.)(edited by Dr. Sophie on 01-09-07 06:26 AM) |

Nice layout. Also, its "equipment" made me laugh a bit.
Does it currently have any other features on the board other than the approval thingy? EDIT: whoops, I'm stupid ![]() (edited by Dr. Sophie on 01-11-07 09:09 AM) |

I like my two CRT monitors that are both connected to my PC and standing next to each other on my desk here.
I don't know the exact size of them (both are pretty much the same), though I guess they're somewhat average size. They seem to be 17", but I'm not too sure. They're both running at 1280x1024. That resolution seems to be a bit too much for them, but I don't feel very comfortable with anything smaller. I wonder when my eyes will start to mess up because of the (relatively) small text.
.. now I'm starting to wonder how my desk can carry those things.. and my TV as well ![]() |

| I had something similar yesterday. I was in the main menu of my Wii and wanted to play around a bit in the Photo Channel, so I started it (with the Wiimote and everything fully functional). The screen turned black, the channel was loading, everything was normal.
But when it finished loading and showed me the menu of the Photo Channel, I noticed that no hand would appear if I pointed at the screen. The bottom light of my Wiimote was off, too, and when I was pressing any button, all four just blinked, as if the console would be shut off. I tried the same things (changing batteries and so on), but I couldn't get it to work, so I just rebooted the Wii by pushing the power button on the console twice (the reset button would just place me in the Photo Channel again, not fixing the error) and everything was normal again. I tried to reproduce the error by loading the Photo Channel again, but it was working now. Strange.
This is also the first time this happened to me since I have the console (I got it this Monday). |

Ailure: You mean Panel de Pon?
I would be interested in netplay, too, if me living in Europe isn't a problem (with a timezone difference of 100 hours it may be difficult to find a good time at which both sides can play and maybe lag? I don't know, never played with/against someone who doesn't live here). |

| A friend of mine has this keyboard. It's pretty neat, but for this price? :\ I'm not too sure:
First, the people who are geeky enough who would actually buy this keyboard probably wouldn't need backlit keys. I'm pretty sure that they could type blind anyway. It still looks neat in the dark, though, but I'm sure the "wow"-effect lasts only for a month or two, after that it's nothing special anymore. Then, the LCD screen. It's a cool idea, but do you really need that? When I'm at my PC, I'm constantly staring at my monitor(s) anyways, so why shouldn't I display whatever I'd like to display on those, or something else that is around? For example, I see what time it is if I move my head 2 centimeters to the right anyways, because then I'm seeing my (quite bright) alarm clock, so I don't need another clock in my keyboard. There may be some good points with it, like the switchable Windows key or the USB hub, but I don't know how often I'd actually use this. For myself, this keyboard would be cool if I had a lot of money, but for 75€ / $80 / whatever it costs in your region of choice.. nah, it's not worth it. I like my 2 year old ~$15 keyboard which has a broken case, but is fully functional. ![]() |

| I'd like to join in as well if this is no problem..
Well, I've never played the game, but I've enjoyed Tetris Blast very much (many years ago ), so it'll probably be fine for me. I doubt that I'll be too good, though. ![]() |

I feel kinda funny, being the only newbie among all you long-time members, heh..
Anyway. At first I pretty much sucked as well. I've tried to do a bit of training, and I guess I'm a bit better now, but the CPU is still beating me in any way possible. Oh well. It'll be OK, I guess..
Well, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully we will get our remaining 2 members. It'll sure be fun ![]() (edited by Dr. Sophie on 02-12-07 11:07 AM) |

Haha, this comic is nice, Smallhacker. It made me laugh a few times.
My favorite has to be #2. I especially like the facial exp I liked your old comic as well (found it via the AcmlmWiki some time ago), and this one here is just as great. Keep up the good work.
Drag: Here it is. I think. ![]() |
