I have no exams this year, thankfully. My film course has none of them.

Unfortunately, I'm very ill right now, therefore I'm missing all my lessons.

Sucks.

You fail at many internets.

It's impossible to link to a file from your hard drive. Even more impossible than normal here seeing that you used the image tags incorrectly. Which should not even be humanely possible.

Man, I didn't even know about that. Shows just how long since I've last been hacking Mario World.

Thanks for sharing.

Firstly, those bands aren't that good at all to be brutally honest. They are not even metal. I find them painful to listen to, as do many, many people I know. Listen to the Mars Volta for some real kick ass music made by truely talented and brilliant musicians - I'm sure Thoughtless will agree with me.

And remember, no one outside of the UK even knows what a Chav is.

Secondly, those images are huuuuuuuge. Think of all the poor suckers with 56k internet.

And finally, this is the wrong forum. This should be in the Entertainment and Sports forum.

Hm. Maybe I should have kept quiet, I haven't read his previous posts and was trying to give him a friendly noob-guiding session.

But yeah. Many people don't seem to take to the Mars Volta. I'm not sure why, however. I just find them to be an amazingly creative and talented band. Just like Radiohead, only to a lesser extent.

And to ShadowVegeta, sorry about the AX7 comment, I didn't mean to sound harsh.

EDIT: I like DEP ten times better as a band though, and to the tenth power as people.

At the risk of prolonging this dying thread's life even more, I'd like to say I fully agree on those points (apart from liking the music). The statements made towards DEP by A7X were childish, pathetic and completely laughable. Why try and insult one of the most technically talented bands on the planet?

Anyway. I'm thinking of posting a topic on the entertainment forum about DEP's upcoming EP. I just didn't know how many people on this board liked them.

I guess I have a bit of an idea now, so I'll go and do it.

What problems did you have with Majora's Mask?

I played the game on Project 64. It ran perfectly with no problems right up to the point where you have to use the lens of truth. And thats when the game slowed riiiiiiiiiiiiiight down to around about 0.74fps. I just gave up.

But yeah. I love Project 64. Every game (apart from the problem mentioned before about Majora's Mask) runs perfectly on it, as long as the right plugins are used, and the framerate rarely dips below 59fps for me.

I just converted 3 songs today from gsf, psf, and spc dumps.

In that case, you would not need special support, it would just be MP3s. Size is a factor though, I guess.

I've just re-installed Winamp 5, after it screwed up and I deleted the entire program folder - including all plugins, and the Nullsoft Disk Writer plugin is definately there, installed along with Winamp 5. I've just been using it with the 64th note plugin to convert N64 soundtracks to wav for use in sampling.

And for me, the SNESAMP plugin for winamp will always be the best for playing SPC files. The option to increase the quality and sampling rate is awesome, and really does make a difference (to my ears, anyway).

Yeah, thats the problem. I downloaded the standard version. I assume theres quite a few plugins and features left out in the version you have, hence the 'lite' in the title.

Man, I'm getting a DS Lite. The fact that Yoshi's Island 2 is coming out has confirmed this for me. I sold my original DS to my sister for £120. (I got it originally for £80 - nice profit made). Hopefully it wont be too small for my hands - afterall, my hands are in no way 'big'.

Man...if you want to be a decent hacker, you're going to have to go through with these things that may not seem fun to you. If you can't be bothered to use blocktool or to search for files, then you are not going to go far in this community.

Hacking a game takes time, and effort. And spending a lot of time and effort on things that may not be regarded as 'fun' is a nessecary thing to go through to make a good hack.

Well, yeah. It plays all DS games and GBA games perfectly.

But the only problem is that due to the reduced size, GBA games stick out of the bottom a tiny bit. But thats no big deal for me.

...I dont know whether to spend my money on a lite, or to save my money and get a Wii in november. It may sound pretty lame, but with my illness right now and college work later on, I'm not going to have much money for a long, long, long time. Hm.

Believe it or not, it's possible. I remember a program called SPC TOOL which did this. However, I last used it about a year ago and it didn't work with all SPC files.

Here it is:

http://www.zophar.net/utilities/download/SPCTL061.Zip (it will only work in full screen mode apparently. And i'm not sure if it works with XP...I havent used it for over a year, but hey.)

It's worked fine for me in the past, and I was able to open the midi files created using notation software such as Noteworthy Composer, and then print off the score.

I know this may be slightly off-topic, but I guess it would be pointless to start a new thread for just one question - when its still related to this thread.

If I got a USB external hard drive, would it work just like a USB storage stick does? For example, if I put some data on it at home then took it into school, I would just be able to plug it in and Windows would recognise it as a removable storage device?

I remember when one of my mates was trying to convince me that Pokémon is the greatest game based on a tv/film licence ever.

Oh, how I laughed. I never did get the chance to tell him that the films and televison series were actually based on the games in the first place though.

That doesn't count, because it's completely incomparable to the movie.

Not in my opinion it isn't. It's incredibly like the film. The levels are based and created around the exact same blueprints by Peter Lamont used to create the sets in the film. The level missions and order of the levels follow the film very closely, and at the times where it does depart from the film, (silo, bunker 2, etc), the level ideas and missions are taken straight from the novel adaption of the Goldeneye film by Raymond Benson. The music also closely resembles that of Eric Serra's soundtrack at points, making the game very alike to the film itself. Altogether, it's one of the most 'authentic' film to game adaptations of all time.

Then again I may have totally misunderstood your comment, which could have meant that you find the game to be inferior to the film. But oh well.
