Last week I picked up Metroid Prime 1 and 2 for £3 at my local gamestation.

It was supposed to be £17 for both of them, but the checkout guy only charged me for £3.

And being the total cunt I am, I left as quickly as I could without saying anything.

Hmm. Photos of me suck. But heres one anyway. Hopefully it wont rape the thread page here by being too large:

*hides*

Some people have said I look like syd barrett :| which confuses me, because I cannot see the resemblance. But hey.

The fact that your name is 'Chickenlump' makes what happened to you very ironic.

But yeah. It's happened to me before. And it's not very tasty.

No offence, but you're a cunt.

You have a preconception of me just because of a hairstyle you THINK I have? Bearing in mind that the photo in question is months old, taken with wet hair?

What on earth gives you the right to say that towards me, when you dont even know me, you do not know who I am and you do not know what I'm like?

I'm sick and fucking tired of people having fucking stupid, automatic opinions on people simply because of their style of hair and even things as pathetic as the style of a single photo. This is why I actually hate the 'emo' scene so fucking much.

Am I emo? No. Fuck no. I hate the entire thing. I hate the 'music' that is associated with the entire thing (fallout boy gtfo), I hate the people who try to be 'emo', I hate the entire pretentious attitude of everyone who thinks it is cool to dress like a girl and judge people by the way they look and the style they follow (eg. im emo, so you must be emo too otherwise i wont like you!). It's a load of bullshit.

I try my hardest to NOT fit into any styles. I wear plain jeans, and simple shirts. My hair right now is long, yes. And naturally dark. But is everyone who has dark and long hair an emo? No. I have a parting in the middle. Not the side. The middle. And finally, ITS A PHOTO. My god. One fucking angle and photo of me. Does this give you the right to judge me and threaten/order me like you just did as well as create an instant opinion on me based on one photo? No.

Sorry everyone for going on, but this pissed me riiiight off. And right now my respect for Vyper is at a all time low. Lower than low. If I could be bothered to go back and find a photo of him in this thread, I would give him the same service he gave me. I'm sure it would be very, very, very easy. But i'm just not enough of a cunt I guess.

This all looks very, very interesting. And I would actually love to try this stuff out, but after numerous searches I simply cannot find the rom.

EDIT - I've got it. Aha. Time to test this out.

Joe...have you ever considered that the post you just made is EXACTLY why the forum has been deemed as 'crap'?

Honestly. That is most likely the stupidest post I've read in a while. Even for this forum. And whats with the title?

The only way this forum will move is (im guessing) if the leagues of amazingly crap hacks dissapear, and people stop wasting the time of people who actually work hard at making good hacks.

Xkeeper, you fail.

If I remember correctly, he's working on SMO along with BMF54123. Correct me wrong, but i'm pretty sure I read something along those lines in the general screenshot thread.

What about the games created by Rare but under nintendo licences? Such as the DK Country series and DK64? Is there no chance for them appearing on the virtual console or not?

I guess its a bit of a tricky issue due to nintendo owning the entire concept and characters, but Rare being credited for game design etc.

Yes. However, only PSP firmware versions 2.00 and below have unrestricted access to homebrew software.

Versions 2.01 - 2.60 NEED Grand Theft Auto in order to play homebrew software (emulators etc) There is no other way to run homebrew on these firmwares.

If you have 2.70 then...you are screwed. It cannot and will never run homebrew.

Tell me which firmware you have, then I can help more.

I know I dont post or even hack that much, but I would never even consider releasing anything like this hack. The amount of effort put in is just...shocking? Considering 99% of this is other people's work, and the overworld looks like something someone did while drunk.

Ok. For a first attempt, the overall shocking bland-ness of this is not THAT bad. However, it's not good enough. Not by far, and not good enough for anyone to want to play.

Before posting any screenshots, make sure the work you are presenting is actually decent. Not something that looks like the original with many details missing after a bomb or something similar has destroyed half the paths on the map leaving a disjointed mess.

It's a pity...the SMW hacking scene used to be great. :|

EDIT - that new overworld IS an improvement, but it is still overly bland/similar to the original. And that hill looks...unfinished.

Rather, there's no current way to do homebrew on this firmware. It'll look bad when you end up being wrong in the future, as you likely are.

Nope...I think theres a small chance I may end up being right. (also I may equally be wrong but hey!) A mod chip has been announced, therefore downgrades from 2.70 etc to below and custom firmwares will be possible. Therefore, theres little point working out new exploits for crippled firmware such as 2.70 when you can just install a mod and downgrade.

I'll find the link later.

By 'unrestricted access', I was just referring to the fact you can downgrade from 2.00 if you wish. And 1.5 is pretty much as unrestricted as you're going to get. But anyway. I was only trying to help.

And Serpent, try DGEN. Version 1.32 works best for me if I remember.

I'm pretty sure it'll be around £140 here, the same as the GC was at launch.

The actual conversion of the price in yen will be around £120, so it's natural for them to mark the price up a tiny bit (eg. to £140).

I'm pretty sure the oracle series use a weird type of compression for the level layouts. I did have some info before, but I have no idea where it is now.

Your best bet would be to ask someone like Jigglysaint. He knows pretty much more than anyone else on the topic of game boy zelda hacking.

Thom Yorke - Cymbal Rush

From his new solo album, (which he insists is still part of the Radiohead series), The Eraser.

Absolutely amazing track. Starts off with a weird repeating synth line that flows through the entire song, before introducing some weird synthy pads before Yorke's distinctive vocals come in, and soft, emotional piano starts playing in the background. Later, a drum line starts to kick in and a brilliant piano riff takes over, with the repeating synth line still playing and Thom Yorke's vocals now reminicent of a part of 'There There', on Radiohead's 'Hail to the Theif' album.

Reminds me so much of boards of canada. they're an amazing duo by the way, everyone! You should all listen to the campfire headphase. Brilliant album - really relaxing, yo.

Ahhh I dont even know who that guy is

Desmond Llewellyn (Q, from the Bond films) came to my school before in 1999 to give a speech and to thank the school for our charity work. Seemed like such a nice person, and he earned a lot of respect from me and everyone else for what he said.

When he died literally a couple of weeks later in a car crash, that pretty much upset everyone, because after he came to the school, we all felt like we knew him personally.

And that pretty much sucked.
