Posted on 03-05-06 06:03 AM, in How to create a DTS mix? Link
Right now, I'm thinking about creating a few surround sound mixes of some music i've wrote. But im not sure what program I could use to create the surround sound mix. I know Adobe Audition can be used to create surround sound mixes, but I have no idea how to convert to DTS audio, and even less idea of how to get it onto a cd to play on my dvd player.

Can anyone help me with this?

So...this is the game that you requested people to join in for a dissassembley?

Or am I wrong?

Either way, this is fucking awesome. Good job.

I'm going to say what I always say:

Dr Gordon is still alive.

Watch the opening of Saw 2, where the guy is seen being operated on the tv. The surgeon has a limp.

(insert twilight zone music here)

Recently, I've been thinking of buying one of these, mostly for N64 emulation, seeing that I prefer the GC controller over any others:

http://www.lik-sang.com/list.php?nav=over&category=162&PHPSESSID=b0174caf1b584857f22d50186b5900ce

However I'm still unsure as to whether it's worth the money or not/what the compatibility is like etc.

Has anyone bought one of these before? If so, how well do they work? And this counts for any kind of adaptor, not just the GC ones. Any information would be appreciated, before I spend the money.

EDIT - Just realised, maybe this topic would have been better suited in the Hardware forum. Oh well.

Agreed.

Example given = The Flaming Lips' cover of Radiohead's Knives Out. Changes it from a mellow guitar based tune to a jazzy bar room piano based song, complete with crazy soloing in the background and the distinctive vocals of Wayne Coyne.

Smooooooth.

Hmm. Hard one.

I know its an obvious choice, but i'll say Smoke on the Water.

It is the song that defines them.

Hmm. I had a party the other night, and like usual, I just stuck to vodka mixed with orange or cola. It is absolutely rough when I drink it straight though.

It's pretty lame that being the age I am, I cant get served anywhere. Oh well.

Only another year until i'm 18 and legally allowed to buy it

Its got like 4 dungeons to it, so it should take a while. You can probably find it in the forums somewhere. If you cant, maybe PM me.

Sounds cool. Is this a hack of A Link To The Past though or is this a hack of one of the old NES games?

A link to the Past, just like the other hacks listed in the thread link just above.

And another thing, going with what asdf said, take a look at the Zelda 3 hacking going on right now. Hyrule Magic isnt exactly the greatest program - it's buggy as hell for a start, and to hack the game to a high standard takes years. But thats why i'm looking forward to the 5 or so Zelda hacks that are in process right now. Because of all the hard work put into them so far, they will definately be worth the wait.

I don't understand. How will that be different from a hex editor?

Maybe it comes preset with a wide amount of table files?

Considering that Metroid Fusion is basically the same as Zero Mission engine-wise (as far as the untrained eye can tell), would one possibly see MF editing in the future as well?

But the editor is looking great, I'll say that much.

That would be a nice thing to see, but wouldnt the whole navigation computer storyline be a bit hard/annoying to change? The whole game is basically based around that, whereas zero mission is more open and less linear in a way.

Your mother hit you for saying 'Damn'?

Thats insane. I say 'Fuck' constantly around my parents and they couldnt care less. Same for all the people I know actually

Back to topic though, this looks pretty decent. And yeah. Sonic Team's efforts have been pretty bad recently.

Fucking YES!

I've only just become interested in Metroid. I recently picked up Metroid Prime 1 and 2 for the amazing price of...£3! And I've just finished Super Metroid. So this amazing hack couldnt have come at a better time!

It looks absolutely amazing. I felt Super Metroid wasn't long enough...only took me about 7 hours...so hopefully I will be playing this for a long, long time.

I dont think you realise that the editor which is being developed is FAR, FAR more capable and developed than the one Nintendo made.

Someone's coding an amazing track editor for everyone to use, and you're complaining.

Sheeesh.
